Completely disagree myself, most reviews are just blowing smoke imo.
The real fault is its too long, but its a decent episode of the X-Files when you get down to it.

Tooms from series 1, for example, was a two parter with a runtime of ~ 1hr 30mins. I don't have a problem with them being full-length; difference here is it would probably have been better at about 80-90mins too

Saying this is absolute shit, on this site is being rather extreme; if you want absolute shit then just browse back over the past few pages  What i think he means is that he was deeply dissapointed, largely because X-Files at its best is 5* as we all know, and this isn't X-Files at its best. IMO its not X-Files at its worst either, not by a long shot. Any of the conspiracy episodes of S8 and 9 were worse than this. As were some of the iffy episodes involving native north americans or some other drek from series 1. I really think people are going way over the top reviewing this one, I don't get the "absolute shite" and "piece of crap" from people that use this site I've seen worse films that have been more highly rated on here anyway Main criticism: Really was too long Crappy dialogue largely because of... Too much playing to the past and tying up ends Might argue it doesn't really progress anything and certainly doesn't progress any kind of X-Files mythos. Main Strengths: Ending and the Darker bits Visuals (Vancouver for the win!) The revelation wasn't bad at all, in fact for me that's when the film got much more interesting.
