Dead Ringers (1988) (dual audio, commentary) *more extras*

Since there already are 2 good 1cd rips of this movie, I decided to go for a 2cd rip with ac3 sound and audio commentary. Ripped from the original Dutch Criterion DVD. Unfortunately, there were only Dutch subs on it. Another thing is that picture quality is a bit worse than I expected, it seems to be flickering a bit at times, which is visible in the rip. It might come out better with DivX 5, but I don't have access to the DVD atm.

Together they take up 1/5 of a CD, which is still a lot IMO. On my LCD screen they look exactly the same as the original, which is rather lq, but still decent.

Dead.Ringers.-.Strange.Objects.of.Cronenberg's.Desire.Polityk.rar - the gallery of stills presenting tools and sculptures used in the making of the movie as well as the original design plates for the opening credit sequence. I was too lazy to change the names automatically assigned to the files by my capturing application, but the ordering is correct. Enjoy!

Added extras.

Now, as I said I'm not especially proud of this rip (the movie, I mean). The picture is a bit unstable and flickering. It's not that bad of course, but I though it could still be better and was even considering another rip. However, it turns out it looks exactly the same encoded with DivX 5, even with lower resolutions. Which means this is the best possible rip I can get off my DVD.

Just watched it...and actually forgotten how much I really get into this movie...it was one of those situations like...Wife-"Hey Honey?"....Me-"Shut Up!!I am trying to watch this movie!! :mrgreen:

Seriously though....I didn't see anything that was a negative as far as the rip went...looked great to me...anything better and you might as well just have done a DvD-r release.So great work man,and keep it up :beerchug:

The movie is absolutely fabulous, comes with my warmest recommendation to all who haven't seen it yet.

I'm going to order a few Cronenberg's movies with commentary - I can rip it if there's any interest.

This will probably be unshared in 2 weeks, so it's your last chance to get it quickly. Also, remember that the extras aren't so fantastically well spread, so sources will probably dry up pretty soon after they have been unshared by me.

Already have the Criterion DVD myself. I've been meaning to pick up The Brood as well. So far I've got, Rabid, Videodrome, Crash, The Fly, and Scanners on DVD. Had to get back into his flicks after seeing him in Nightbreed, also on DVD.

Gotta love a Netflix account and DVD burner.

Videodrome is going to be released by Criterion in August - 2 disc edition with tons of extras.

Rabid SE was already released. The same with Naked Lunch. The Fly is also being prepared for a re-release. This is a good year for Cronenberg fans.
