Well I've ripped it but it came out a bit wrong, I think I forgot to select 'forced film' in DGindex as the finished file looks like it needs de-interlace applied.

Video type is film 98% so I think this is where I've gone wrong. I'll try again tonight and have it ready for tomorrow if successful. :)

Well Phantasm & Videodrome both already have AFS rips I'm sure, and my Shivers and Rabid DVDs don't have the best image quality so may not come out better then the old rips already available since they would only merit 1/6 DVD rips.

If Evil Dead 1 & 2 don't have AFS rips then I might do them.

2 is from the Momentum R2 DVD (good image & 5.1 sound), but bear in mind that my copy of the first is the R1 Elite DVD that has the 1.33:1 transfer (director approved) not the 1.85:1 that other releases have, as well as 5.1 sound.

If there's enough demand I'll rip any of these anyways. :)

Which Evil Dead dvd's do you have?

Was planning on ripping the Anchor Bay trilogy box in AFR sometime soon.
Same goes for George Dead series.
Do have a shitload to rip though, someone talked me into doing Trancers 1,2,3,4,5,6. :wacky:

You might want to remove titles which are already ripped in afr, there are a loooot ripped by UnSeeN, INFECT and several others. Saves you the time ;)

Nice list, would like several as well :P

I have the versions of Evil Dead mentioned a few posts above Vae.

Regarding that, the Anchor Bay versions are slightly enhanced apparently, with minor adjustments to the FX. The Elite version I have is the original untampered version in the original 1.33:1 ratio which is in the same ratio on disc 4 of the trilogy boxset you have (but may be the enhanced version too I'm not sure).

Also the R3 version I have of AOD is by far the best one for image quality, 5.1 sound and has the correct 1.85:1 ratio. Plus it's the longest version with only the scene of Ash captured in a net by Henry the Red's men missing I think. The ending is the 'slept too long' version I think, with the other as an extra. I think a 1/3 AFS of this DVD is the best option.

See here: DVDCompare and here: DVDBeaver for more info.

As for Rabid & Shivers mentioned by Phantasm they might be a possibility since the only rips about seem to be old divx ones with low sources, although neither DVD I have (Prism R2) would warrant more than a 1/6 AFS and there are much better versions around anyway. Does anybody else have these, especially the R2 Rabid SE?

Yeah, old rips of Rabid and Shivers are pretty shitty :matrix:
