well i think he knows he's loathed by everyone and one of the worst directors, hopeless director's ever...

the reason he goes for games imo is because the game has already done all the work and he doesn't need to try this way. Its the only explaination i can think of to explain how shit this guy is.

Seriously I believe if you put enough money infront of any actor they will star in any old shite. They always say "I read the script and knew I wanted to be a part of this movie", bollocks, they flashed the cash and your standards dropped in seconds.

You never know Ben Kingsley may star as the "Left Paddle" in Uwe Bolls "Pong the Ultimate Horror".

I think its like all jobs, there really are people with standards though. The majority do it for the job and need the money, lots of them select roles they know they can do without just doing shit. There's a long list of actors that i think aren't solely in it for the money, particularly people who take independant cinema roles. There's also those ace actors that can pull a performance out of nothing.

And its not just actors that have this kind of split between sell out and effort, lots of musicians are like this, sometimes its not about the art or anything.

So whilst i agree, actors get to this point, i still lilke to think some people are beyond it. Obviously not Ben Kingsley though

I don't know...some actor's seem to have a standard that they follow in picking movies..others like say....Henry Fonda or Shelley Winters would star in anything they could get catering at.
