Do you have servers in your list?

What version and mod of emule are you running?

This one?

http://ed2k.2x4u.de/index.html

And the client is 0.46c from http://www.emule-project.net ?

How is it not connecting? Do you get this message in your emule server tab?

"Connecting to XX.XX.XX.XX"

"XX.XX.XX.XX appears to be dead"

Was your web browsing ok when you got that error?

Have you given permission in your firewall for emule to act as a server?

I had that error last week and had to reboot my computer

indeed, only time i get that error is when my internet connection is down, normally when my routers crashed and needs rebooting.

Leave it connected for a while and the speed will pick up. Your download speed will improve, the more you upload. :)

The d/l speed will also improve the more sources for each file but especially if you leave it connected.

My computer has been on pretty much all the time for a year, except for rebooting.

Make Razorback 2.0 your preferred server.

Wins hands down. :)

that doesn't work (just priority alone).

First organise your emule list by number of users (click column header)

You should get some servers you know are fine (ie ones with country flags for a start), then you right click on the server and go to "add to static list".
Do this with 6 or so servers you trust (razorback2.0, etc., none for the usa or with an n/a or suspicious ip)

Then in emule configuration, check "only connect to servers on your static list". You also want to uncheck stuff like "update server list on connect". You'll only ever connect to those 6 servers, if you don't do that, if it fails to connect to your high priority server, it will connect to any other at random, including dodgy ones.

(options may vary a bit but its about the same)

Servers i use

razorback 2

donkeyserver no1 - no6

###SauGeileGirls###

added those to my static list and deleted everything else, works for me.

You defo don't wanna connect to roberts party server or sonny boy.

There are some other one's that have sprung up , lots of servers on the same ip.

Big donkey is one i think, can't really remember 'cos i deleted them a while ago.

Better be safer than sorry

DO NOT connect to any of the 'sonny boy' servers or razorback 2.2, 2.3, 2.4 or 2.5!!
