Thats a real bad idea on this network, unshare any single mp3s. Sharing lots of files is counter productive on this network, sharing a small amount of rare files is a lot better.

Its not sharing more is better, its what you share really.

I though it was just how much you share? Not what type of files they are. Sharing this music is doing pretty good as I've finally (a day later) downloaded about 14mb of the movie.

Uploading buidls up a credit file for you. Uploading to a certain person will place you higher in his/her queue so it's better to share horror movies because you will most likely upload to people sharing horror movies and by that they will place you higher up in their queue. By that you will be able to get more of the movie and share that out also, it goes around like that.

One is green, one is red.

As for sharing only horror, I don't really have enough hardrive space to store any movies for longer then two or three days.. With just uploading what I already have of a downloaded movie going to be enough to get me decent credits?

One green = Ed2k connected with a high id
One red = Kad not connected

Yes, uploading what you have of a file should be enough, credits are on a per person basis and assume that the person has not disabled the credit system.

What does Kad do, should I have it connected? It seems my resources aren't killed as badly when it's not connected and I don't really see a difference is download speeds or anything..

Kad is another methof of finding sources, one that doesn't need you to be connected to a server.

Using it, you will get a few more sources, but as you've noticed, it uses more resources too. You'll be fine not using it if that's what you prefer.
