Maybe so but they have/had a bad rep for retagging IIRC.

yeah it sucks its gone, and as cheeky as it sound ShareTv was way better when that was around, but that went the way of the dodo way back in time :(

Was the reason the-realworld stopped archiving movies the same?

Hello all. I'm another refugee from CM. Sorry to hear how it ended, yet the knowledge puts me at ease. Anyhow, I hope this community sticks around for a while. :)

they're not going to so far,but a few of us had the idea of start making collections(a feature that emule has) of complete series/seasons & sharing them under the same name so they can easily be found by using your clients searchbar
that way even if they close another site it would still be a piece of cake to find the stuff posted there

opinions/suggestions on this idea are always welcome

not really, as far as i know a lot of these cases are bullshit anyway, i doubt the real world one is though, its a crying shame.

As for leaving fh alone, it doesn't really do much to warrant closing. They don't tag or release movies as if they were the soul ripper and provider, ie. SR, SC, TRW, its a forum based site so there's not the accountabilty and its closed to registration.

I don't think its viewed as being any kind of huge driving force for piracy, they obviously thought different for the above sites.

As for tv archives, i forgot the name, but they get all their stuff from sharetv/bucktv's irc room as far as i know, or some affiliation to the site. So if you want the stuff first, you might as well go to the irc room where they post ed2k links. I forget the room/channel though.

eMule-Project.net wrote:
As review, some major points of the 0.46(a-c) releases are:

* Lots of bugfixes
* Collections: you can create, view and use collections for eMule, to bundle a number of files virtually together and use this to define a set of files. A set that can be signed to ensure the origin.
* Reworked Shares files window, containing a tree of shared items - for more overview and control
* Multiple temp-folders with automatic selection on download start
* Visual fixes and improvements

For all the details, check out the complete changelog below!

If you have a newer client, you can select a group of files in your shared files list and right click to create a collection.

Haven't seen it used yet myself.

I already do that with the tabs options :P

Everything sits very well ordered that way.

I believe that ordering the files before putting them to DL is way better than afterwards IMHO :P

That's the whole idea.

For example:

I have a collection that I want to share on ed2k (could be a cd1 and 2 with an .nfo or a complete tv season/series).
-load the files in emule
-highlight them in your shared files and right click to create a collection; it can be text only or can be signed with name and key
-the file will be saved and hashed
-post the .emulecollection file; emule will give .emulecollection files top priority for download, so someone should be able to download it in secs
-after downloaded, you click it and it brings up a box for you to look at the included files and even automatically create a new tab just for that collection

Not a bad idea really.

Here's one I made up for fun for Freeze Me (thanks for all the extras Dxa):
ed2k: Freeze.Me.2000.DvDRiP.XviD.=STR=.emulecollection  [1.1 Kb] [Stats]

me & a m8 have been doing this with anime(& a few tv series for now) as sort of a test & it works.

all the collections start with the same keyword(a word that wasn't to be found on emule before) so you should really just look for the word + series name and tataa

and thanks to this keyword you don't even have to post the links directly on forums anymore(good for those who are afraid of being shut down  )

peeps could just discuss a new serie/movie and it can easily be found by using search

So .. you search for the collection name rather than the titles...

eg:-
Search String - Hellraiser
Collection Name - Hellrasier Collection
File in Collection - A load of hellrasier movies

Would that be how it works? And if so dose it stop you finding the individual files?

Do you haev to download the entire collection or can you select individual files inside it?

yes,that's how it works

you can select individual files once you've opened the collection

here's an example

ed2k: LIVEWIRED.Automan%201-13.TV.AVI.ENG.COMPLETE.emulecollection  [1.2 Kb] [Stats]

the files are also only a few kb each so they spread very easily
