how come they are nearly all american but with a couple of english ones thrown in? Normally its the otherway round.

I don't have nearly that many official ones, but that's cos DVDs are largely a total ripoff in this country. Still got the odd thousand.

For the record how many hundreds of pounds did you spend on the aliens box set :o

Just wondering... about how many is that?! Cuz I have 267 DVDs and 234 VHS, but that is OBSCENE. If thats not proof that downloading DOES NOT affect DVD sales....

in my case it does actually affect sales, but positively. i very often first download a movie and then if i like it i buy it on dvd. that's why i am now proud owner of about 300 dvd titles.

usually, downloading movies (as well as music) is some kind of an illegal preview for me. decent movies are rewarded later on, the other ones, well they don't deserve any better than being downloaded for free

Nice collection, not really a DVD collector myself. I'm more into music.

I can't really photograph my collection as I'm a really untidy bugger and every available space has either CD's or DVD's stacked up on it

Take a look at the avp boxset and then answer that question! :wacky:

I'm afraid my DVD collection is not as impressive nor is it so big on box sets (hence why its not impressive :( ), and i sure as hell don't have as much storage space  :

Spud, you're a git - you haven't even opened your Starbug model yet (unlike me...grrrr)

The layout of your DVDs look spookily like the way I have mine with LOTR, Red Dwarf and the Indy box set so close to each other - I had to take a second look to make sure you hadn't been in my house taking pics :D

lol, actually series 1-4 were ~?16.99 and for whatever reason series 5 was ~?34.99, so i didn't buy it. There's no extras or anything of real added value beyond the episodes on the discs, so i'll wait till it drops to a reasonable price.

Just bought Xfiles S1-9 boxset (asian retail cos i'm cheap).
