I prefer "significantly improved" because it doesn't commit to comments that make me want to wretch my eyeballs out.

Hey, I can handle a stinker, as long as there's pretty flashing lights to keep me occupied! Tho from what ive seen of AitD, theres barely that - not sure ive really got the stomach for any more Bollmania in the near future...

Ive gotta say Spud, if I had to sit through HotD at a Horror film festy, like yourself, I think my opinion may be significantly different. Especially with Bubba Ho Tep on the menu! Ive only ever seen Undead on the R4 DVD, so cant say how it translates to the big screen - but i can appreciate that in the right atmos it has potenital to gloss over some of the flaws that would be more evident in your own home (esp when uve just plunked down your hard-earned for an import DVD!!!)

Gotta say untill 3 posts back, id never even heard of it!
However, I did a quick check on the imdb and in the comment on their frontpage, there was talk of Bad Taste and Braindead... again...
But the storyline sounds really cool and whether its cop or not, theres sounds like plenty of blood & chainsaws in there... Ill Take that recommendation and check it out!
:beerchug:

poster kinda reminds me of Wild Zero too...

A couple of months ago, i switched off my standalone (after 14 minutes), while playing alien abduction :moon: ... pure crap!

Moreover, I have a flick that always functions as a sleeping pill  ... Crouching Tiger, hidden dragon
I tried to watch it 6 or seven times... I fell asleep all the time! :P

Well i guess i've never turned off a movie, well that i can remember of.
Though fucking Uwe Boll's Alone In The Dark was pretty close for me to turned it off, as also fucking Uwe Boll's House of the Dead.
Can somebody please kill that man before he finishes doing his upcomming movies?

Movies I think suck big time and had to turn them off are:

-Spermula
-begotten
-the "whatever" of a virgen"
-Quachanca the insest monster
-Fotografando a Patricia
-9 songs
-Defiance of the Good
-itchi the killer and all the oriental films.

had to remove the last entry since I sence some bad energy.

I got to side with spudthedestroyer on HotD vs Undead. There's no comparison for me.

There's no doubt Undead is a send-up. The official site quotes critic reviews saying how it's hilarious, and is listed a comedy on IMDB.

I reckon if you take into consideration the budgets too, HotD cost 7 times more than Undead ($7million vs $1million). For Undead the Spierig brothers even made most of the computer effects themselves on their home computers. Also in Australia, very few genre movies even get made. The Aussies film companies passed up on 'Saw' before the two dudes who made it went elsewhere and it became a US movie. It was a pretty good effort to achieve what they did. Boll on the other hand totally under achieved.

I thought Undead was very good, especially the story - quite a surprise. A lot better than the derivative crap Boll dishes out anyway.

Zod - I cant believe you dont like Ichi :( Its still in my top 10 of fave films. Watched 'Nochnoy Dozor' yesterday and found that it was cack, shame really as I was looking forward to seeing it - lets just hope that the Russian studios decide not to copy every bloody popular film that has been released in America, for the next 2 parts of this tril.
