From what i remember you had to run with people dressed as soldiers then bundled onto the troop carrier for a short ride then into an elevator where someone was snatched quite litrally in front of your eyes by a alien it was convincing as the lights went out then a flash as the elevator door opened and the alien snathes some women then lights out again
scared the shit out of me
tho i'm sure the woman must of been part of it
not even sure if it's still there havn't been myself in the last 4

But surely that would just be a photo of a load of blank dvds?

Numbers might be interesting though

Just remembered this thread :)

I recently been snapping up a few box sets, like the now popularist alien and sonny heads. I've ordered Dust Devil and a few other yanky dvd sets, I bought the event horizon collector's set and the fly sets.

Does anyone know where i can get the x-files set from that i linked to in that thread?

i heard a lot of complaints about the quality of the latter box; it doesn't include many of the best hammer films from what i heard, like the Fearless Vampire Killers?

I've seen a few bond sets, that one looks neat :) Any goodies?

bond: should have the best versions of all movies and each movie has a second dvd with extra's.
For the rest the only goodie is the case itself. Case is okey though. Light and sturdy also has a 3 number slot (x2). Only problem is that future movies can't be added in this box.

Hammer: Yeah I know about that it has lots of bad ones, but can't complain about quality though. It isn't highdef for sure, but it ain't half as bad as Trancers 1 dvd..

Talking about Trancers I also have the following box:

Now that is sad. The first 2 I had to replace with pal versions, those where just totally fucked up. Artifacts etc.. yeach.
Pal versions of the first 2 arent that great either but still better. 3,4,5 are somewhat better (yeaaa, since there arent pal versions of those).
Still not happy with rip of first disc, but should be finished somewhere this week.

Do you only play your DVDs in a stand-alone DVDplayer? Because when you want to play them in your PC, you could use AnyDVD.

I think you missed the point I was making; it costs shit loads of postage, VAT and the risk of customs duty on top to import dvd boxsets.

Getting around region encoding is beyond triviality, even on standalone dvd players ;) Remember what site your on ;)

top to bottom, not bottom to top!

They're going to be all the way down the wall to the left above the pc, and pretty much solid mass of dvds :)
