Could you do a rip to mpeg4 at all?

The process is identical to dvd ripping in most cases, rename .dat to .mpg, use TMPenc to join the two files, and then you can open the mpeg in gknot and play with it as if it were a dvd.

thanks GialloTypeCrunk this is one ive never seen around on any of the sites ive been after it a while myself and Ive kinda come to expect catIII's as vcd's over the years.as for most part theyre released as them.I take it weve got subs ?

mostly people like to have the full vcd ; so they can do whatever they want with it ; but i can try to make it a single file if your' still interrested ; just let me know

your welcome ; yeah this one is quite a rare and good Cat3 plus it's in his Original audio with hardsubbed original english subs !
you'r right mostly the best ways to see CAT3 is via VCD ; this one is not on dvd i think.

Yeah i'd like to see a 1cd mpeg4. Motivation is I don't see the point because VCD = MPEG1, which is really redundant now, has been since it was surpassed by mpeg2 and mpeg4.

If its ripped as mpeg4, you can easily half the filesize with no loss of quality due to the nature of, well mpeg1 sucking :lol:

Either way i'll download, if you don't want to mpeg4 it i'll do it myself. Its just the extra bandwidth wasted for mpeg1 (not that its that much). Either way i appreciate the release and all, like with dvds upgrading the codec is my preference. Just make sure you crop (and deinterlace if needed) if your doing a mpeg4

I wouldn't tend to agree with that. Reminds me of the CAM/SCREENER scene, notice how popular repacks are of vcds? Same motive, the only reason they are released as VCD in the first place is to sell to a conservative asian market, if it wasn't for that they'd be mpeg4 from the source.

Bandwidth saving alone makes it worthwhile i'd think, but i know some people will want them untouched even if it is mpeg1.

Sucks to hear about your comp, as mine's just a slow machine (running Limewire alone takes up a huge amount of memory) but I may be slow to the get go but are those links to download the film working for anyone now? I open them and it leads me to a 'page cannot be displayed' just curious.
