My first DVD rip here and first sharing with Donkey.. I don't have much of a upload speed so don't know how long this is going to take. If there are any problems please say.

It would be best to take some screenshots from your rip, to show if it's high quality or not. Open the file in Virtualdub, move the slider to the screen you want to take, then press Ctrl-1 to copy the image to the clipboard. Paste it into a graphics app, and save it as jpg.

Also, it seems to be the done thing to give the file specs at least as a Gspot output report.

Finally, don't be offended if it gets moved to low quality, the guidelines on 'High Quality' are quite specific. Resolution and filesize look OK, so you're halfway there. :mrgreen:

Anyway I'm using eMule and I've put all other shared videos to low priority and this one I gave the highest.. If I can do anything else to make this become available faster please tell me...

I searched the help file and nothing about powershare.. only thing I can alter (I think) are priorities which are :

Very Low
Low
Normal
High
Release
Auto

I put it on HIGH... don't know what's Release for.. Or maybe you know of a better client than eMule? I think it's great but if you know something better I'll listen.

BTW someone started to download at 5.00 kb/s ..

Release is the highest priority. If the client supports powershare, then that does some jiggery pokery with the file chunks to help it spread.

MorphXT and StulleMule seem to be the favoured clients round these parts, both have a powershare feature.

Ok I put the file on RELEASE and now 4 users are downloading taking up all my upload speed so looks like I won't have to switch to any other client.

I'm online all the time so just have some patience :oops:

Oh and my upload speed is around 16 kb/s ... so not much but what the hell it's worth waiting for this movie. It's really something.. It has one of the best lines in recent movie history.

Not the best film you'll see, but anything with sharks in rocks in my book - and i've seen some stinkers :beerchug:
