Spoiler:
There are a few facts in it.... almost ALL OF IT is bullshit. the only things that facts is that the girl was found with her spine severed (+ multi stab wounds on back) and that the chick was shot on the road... EVERYTHING else is total crap. 100% made up bullshit... do not belive the hype

Still I liked that film.

your phillips dvp642, that's what gives...

Buy an xbox if you want full playback compatability, or near enough.

isos of what, games? Don't think there's much point, you can just burn the iso as data and it will play them. I'm not sure why you'd want to store things as .iso files.

Or do you mean an iso of a dvd or something? I recall it being able to play one over my network so i think so, but then you might as well burn it as a data dvd since its the same size of the iso file

Why does a player need to play .iso files? or do you mean a data disc with xvid movies on? Or alternatively is there another type of iso your referring to?

im talking about just burning divx or xvid movies as an ISO to a dvd-r or cd-r and watching them on my dvd player (or possibly xbox as you referred to earlier)

basically you said x box has full play back compatibility. how would i go about watching the movies i get from here (divx, xvid) on an xbox?

burn them as a pc data disc - doesn't need any special mode or anything. Only dvd-r will work though. As far as I can tell the xbox drive wont recognize a cd-r disc (doesn't work in mine or a couple of mates xboxes I've tried). At least with dvd-r though you can have six 700mb files on it.
Another option is to network the xbox to your pc and play them off your pc harddrive (or a cd-r or dvd-r in your pc cdrom).
The xbox needs to be chipped obviously, and you need the XBMC program on it. If you don't already have a chipped xbox, and you're wanting to use X-box live too, make sure you get a chip that can be disabled. My brother got one where depending how long you hold the power button it boots the xbox with the either the chip on or off (ie press it quickly for off, or hold for a second or two for on)
It'll play most quicktime and wmv on xbox too which is cool.

Depends on the drive in your xbox, mine (a samsung drive) reads CDR / CDRW / DVD+-R / RW perfectly :)

Yep, Lovely feature, you can stream wirelessly too with a bridge, so you can have a media player in the bedroom (for the sake of argument) with all the content on your PC

Or you could softmod, a guide to which can be found on this very site : http://forum.dead-donkey.com/viewtopic.php?t=7034

Though i've got a Samsung too but it won't read CDR's...
Softmodding is recommended!

You have to softmod / chip the xbox and install Xbox Media Center
