Although Dance of The Dead was a mess, it had some very creepy moment (the living-dead burnt "alive", some necrophilia)... while on the other hand, Chocolate had *nothing* interesting in it, and was as dull as its main actor. It sucked, pure and simple.

chocolate was better than dance of the dead imo. Dance of the Dead was a far bigger mess, but post Apocolyptic movies tend to be just that without any interesting plot, characters or style to make up for it.

Despite the worst episodes, I love this Masters Of Horror serie and I hope they get some top directors for the next season.
I want William Lustig! David Cronenberg! Romero! Guillermo Del Toro! Roman Polanski! Wes Craven! Jaume Balaguero!
Come on guys, let's all email Mick Garris: "We use P2P, but we promise to buy your crappy DVDs if you get Romero and Lustig involved in season 2"

what the fuck about the 13th episod?
is really the serie completed?
coz, on the official website, imprint, is still here...
so... no broadcasting? what the hell? 'll be on dvd? when 'll it be available?
coz, masters of horror, 13 without 13 episods...
what a shame!
wanna see it :'(
and sure, 'll be a 2nd season... too many director that HAVE TO direct an episod...

They have mentioned that Jenifer would be presented uncut with more gore on the DVD, so my guess is that no broadcast of this episode has shown the uncut version.

I do not think that is right... .. They make a big deal how everything is uncut and uncencored, and how the directors have all this freedom and stuff.... that is why they decided to release that ep on dvd rather than release a cut version of it on tv

Cool list

its a trait of release group rips these days, they just cut immediately on the credits. Very annoying, i found it particularly annoying with Carnival? since i kind of enjoyed the end theme music.

I hope they stop doing that...annoying indeed! some of us wish to watch the credits etc..
Anyways can someone explain the ending of Deer Woman to me then?
From what I watched, The detective was on the ground by his car and the other cops came..after that it was like...over....that's why I found it kinda abrupt. Just a black screen and then finish. I don't understand then? So was he the suspect instead?

I don't think its meant to be viewed anything like that.
Its just an ending, like anything else. I don't think he was setup to be a fall guy or anything like you see in twisty movies.
There's plenty of evidence about the place, no i think that was just an ending, what happens next... to quote thomas the tank engine, is another story.
Logically thinking, they don't treat him like a suspect because they just need to check the phone logs and cctv to know that he didn't do it, and there enough of a mess to collaborate that there was someone else there. Of course because of his past they'll check but i don't think its meant to set that character up for a fall or anything.

UK will get to see Miike's Imprint:
Quote: | Twitch Film learned today that Bravo will be airing the banned Masters of Horror episode, Takashi Miike?s "Imprint" on April 4th in the UK. Showtime deemed it too extreme for us impressionable Americans, but the Brits have had their share of being told what to watch, the era of the Video Nasties, so they?re letting their own viewers decide if it?s too much. Check out the official Bravo site here for more Masters info and to see an exclusive clip from the episode. Damn you Brits! |

Alright people, I've got some good news for those of you that don't already know. Showtime will be showing Imprint, the 13th episode of the first season of masters of horror on April 4th on showtime. The episode was banned for reason the fact that it was deemed as 'too extreme for impressionable americans' (going by what I read on the http://www.horrorchannel.com) but I'm assuming the episode were seeing will be cut. From what I've heard the brits have already gotten to see this episode. But anyways, April 4th for the americans, April 5th on Scream for Canadians like me (thats the reason they're having the Masters Of Horror marathon on Scream, I knew there was a reason for it, think about it, they have four more weeks, so why not show 3 episodes each friday and then the day after they show the last three, they show imprint, at least thats how I think it will go.)
and for those of you who don't know there shall be a second season, however with new directors, except Mick Garris, who I believe is going to make another episode. My bets are that Romero, Raimi, Cronenberg, Craven, Lustig, Roth, Cunningham, Corman, Barker and Henenlotter may all take part in this season. I'm only guessing though.
