I'm hoping that by the time I'm home from work - there will be a Masters of Horror Rip for Imprint.

The Un-Seen in the U.S. Episode Of Masters Of Horror!

Shown On UK TV

Imprint
Director: Takashi Miike

An American journalist in 19th century Japan is hoping to find the love he left behind. His long search leads him to a dark island where the only sanctuary is a brothel. He ends up spending the night with an interesting woman where he learns that some things are better off left in the past.

Originally scheduled to air January 27, 2006 on Showtime ( January 28 on Scream in Canada), Imprint was abruptly shelved less than a week from its airdate. Apparently, Showtime executives were extremely unhappy with the episode that was screened for them and determined that that scenes depicted during the episode's broadcast would not be appropriate for their audience.

Details for Imprint...

Source - Digital TV Rip
Codec - XVID
Picture Size - 512x336 (1.52:1) [=32:21]
Audio - MP3 128 kb/s (64/ch, stereo) CBR
Video Bitrate - 1078 kb/s
FPS - 25.000

indeed, best episode of the 1st season! These geishas are the sickest ladies I've seen on TV in a freakin' long time! ;)

The episode was obviously shown uncut too.
Loved it!

Did I see the same episode?

Apart from some totally weird, fucked up ideas and a prolonged torture scene, it seemed to be pretty much style over substance. The first half was wishy-washy and the 2nd a total mindfuck, but overall I didn't feel it was very coherent as a mini-horror movie.

If that's the best the series has to offer, I don't think I'll bother with the rest. :(

You should check out the other eps anyway. There's some good/great stuff to watch. As a Lovecraft fan, I really liked the Gordon episode for example.

/me sneaks in to repeat iteration 4
But the Joe Dante one is terrible, i mean its not like that shite future one by Romero, or who ever guffed that one out.

I didn't bother watching all of these, there's like 3 or 4 i've not seen and i have little motivation to do so.

I watched the first one last night too. The one with the head drilling dude. Enjoyed it much more than Imprint. I guess I like my horror vanilla flavoured.

These are my favorites in order: Imprint (just kept getting more fucked up), Cigarette Burns (intelligent visceral horror that, if anything, should have been longer), Dreams in a Witch House (good, slightly campy horror), and Incident On and Off a Mountain Road (flawed, but not too bad, at all), Sick Girl (campy, but fun), Fair-Haired Child (mostly for the monster). The rest were forgettable or garbage.
