Apparently not everyone agrees - on his Expose upload someone actually commented with the following:

"...Thanks for the shout, homie. Gotta get on this one for sure. Someone needs to give you the 'UPLOADER OF THE YEAR' AWARD."

To be fair, I checked the mule and the (detagged) name he posted it under did exist as the most number of sources.

Still, he obviously doesn't get the point of tagging (or detagging) a rip and why people get wound up over it. Shame it had to come to T3 as it's always been really good for keeping the tags.

He's getting aggressive again, unfortunately Zaerc has deleted Buggy9391's comments before I had chance to see them, anyone know what he said?

He's a moron, he kept banging on about me being "on his nuts" so I just pointed out it's disrepectful to the original ripper.

Then I got all my posts deleted

Hi guys,

Finally I finished reading all the thread and I'm very sorry to know that a bunch of thieves are taking credit over your GREAT work.

I always respected the names of the files I have downloaded before, since I had to watch them on my PC I didn't had to do nothing but download, and enjoy of the great work, but.. (the ugly but that always appera at some point..) but a few weeks ago I recieved a DivX standalone as a present, (the cheapest from LG) and it has a lot of rules to follow if I want to watch the movies I download.

After a lot of reading and doing a lot of test and failure, I found a way to modify the movies without reencoding them and enjoy them on my TV, however, I found out that the hash for the mule changes and the size and in a few words the mule watch them as diffrent files.

The naming convention to watch them on my standalone don't allow me to have very long names (the subs block the device if the file name is longer than 18 chars) and if the movie don't have the same name of the subs it wont show them, so I have to manage to rename them in a way that the standalone accepts or I had just waste a DVD with movies I wont be able to play.

I have the original names of the files in a textfile, but I don't want to look like if I changed the movie or reencoded it so I leave them shared for about 15 days after completion on my HD and then take them away.

After all this bla, bla. I finally write my questions.

Can I re-share the "fixed" files I have downloaded?

Would the ripper not be mad because I fixed them to be standalone compatible?

Excuse me if someone thinks these are stupid questions, but I like being respected, and the only way to be is by respecting other people. (I know sometimes even if you are respectful, people aren't with you, but I believe that repect is the base of long friendships.)

You can't reshare the fixed files as the hash has changed (as you pointed out yourself ;) )

Personally I wouldn't care that you fixed the file of one of my downloads although I would rather you didn't share the "fixed" file as it confuses the issue to have more than 1 hash with the same filename.

Not stupid questions at all BTW :)

yeah if you do any kind of re-encoding, i'm not bothered either, but then there's not much point in releasing them.

BTW, i would suggest looking into an upgrade to an xbox, you won't need to do any kind of post processing to get files to play :)

Thankyou for the advise Spud, but I can't afford an Xbox now :(.

Ok, I won't re release the new ones, only the old ones ;) the ones that I didn´t fix.

I don't waste a lot of time in my fixing, I only reencode audio and that only takes me a few minutes, my standalone works ok with VBR, but loves CBR, and also the audio must be interlaced every frame for mp3 audio and every 40 for AC3, so basicaly most of the time is only a save with virtualdub and if it has NBOP, I use mpe4Modifier to take away the packed bit stream, another few minutes, so I don't mind doin it (and even if I did I cant spend money in an xbox or ps3 a child is comming and got to be ready for her :) )

Thanks for your answers :beerchug:
