Can we really trash them as garbage? Name one other horror show airing now that delivers what this one does. Watch em all.
I thought Dance of the dead, Deer woman, and dreams in the witch house were the weakest, but still enjoyable for a first watch.
Why WAS Miike's banned? He wouldn't cut it? It wasn't that bad...

I think the torture scene and the constant dumping of dead babies in the river probably wouldn't sit well with the average TV viewer.

You have to remember that, although this series was targeted at horror fans, many of the viewers wouldn't be as accustomed to the genre as the fans discussing it on message boards like this.

Jennifer was okay. I enjoyed it when I saw it. So, maybe not garbage, but forgettable. Otherwise, I would have remembered it and put it on the list.

THe funny thing is, I live with 3 girls (women, whatever), my GF can take any flick you put on, one of the others (the hefty one) can't take anything (tense music makes her cringe), but the last one (the anorexic one) has started to love gory horror since living with me. She was never a horror fan or had even seen a gory movie. Somehow I made her love em. When I said I had the banned episode, she was like "Lemme see Lemme see", but I wanted to prepare her by showing her the director's other films (this case I chose Ichi the Killer). I think Ichi was little much for her LOL, but she throughly enjoyed Imprint and wondered why it was banned. The dead babies probably did it of course. She said she thought the image in Jenifer, where she is eating the little asian girl was worse. Go figure.
This solidifies for me that those who chose whats suitable don't know there ass from there face.
Either way this is a GREAT show, and everyone here really should think so, haven't you all been waiting for something like this? I will but most of the DVDs, already have the first 2 (they are only $10USD).

3. 7. The Screwfly Solution, directed by Joe Dante, written by Sam Hamm and adapted from the James Tiptree, Jr. short-story, is about a nightmare virus infecting our nation, transforming men into psychotic killers who attack every woman that crosses their paths.

8. Valerie On The Stairs, directed and written by Mick Garris from a Clive Barker original screen story, tells the tale of a novelist who discovers there are fates worse than literary anonymity in this sexually-charged tale of terror.
