In this adapation of H.P. Lovecraft's short story of the same name, William Sanderson plays Joe Slaader - a mysterious mountain man being held in the Ulster County Asylum after the brutal murder of his family. Edward Eischel, a young intern (played by newcomer Fountain Yount), sees something more than just an inbred monster in this new inmate, however. Instead, he sees him as the harbinger of some greater and much darker force. With bodies piling up, his job in jeopardy, and his sanity hanging in the balance he gives in to his obsession with tapping into Joe's hidden power, risking all that he has along the way.

its wrong, the film came out in 2004 with preview showings, got its limited release in 2005 and then another release in 2006 according to the Fileheaven thread:

Which means, going by limited its 2005, technically it should be 2004. Sure as hell isn't the first time IMDB is wrong and certainly won't be the last ;)

If you go by a far better indexing site than imdb, say allmovie:
http://www.allmovie.com/cg/avg.dll?p=avg&sql=1:345834
its 2004, as it should be. :)

yeah, imdb are a amazon owned company, so all there stuff will probably come from amazon's records. The movie struggled for a release, as films of this kind do and then its gone "stv" in 2006. Stuff like Bubba Ho-Tep have the wrong year in the titles too because it was doing the festivals for a long time before getting a release.

I've found allmovie.com a lot more accurate on years, only problem is you have to do a partial search to get a linkable reference ie. to get the link in my second post, i had to search for "wall sleep".

Okay Signum... Got it.

Spud, you're killing my faith in the only database I was sure of.
So dates on IMDb can sometimes be wrong. That and a movie that you're sure is a scifi one...

What am I supposed to think yet ?

Huh...

LOL

I give up. Even if I don't agree with you. Never mind, my english is too poor to fight with you...

Anyway, I'm fed up with the idea of tracking the correct dates for my movies. Fed up...

Merde et remerde !
