NONE. Remakes are always a bad idea. The only kind of a "RE-MAKE" I can stomach is the kind made by a fan i.e. for example Dr.Sapirstein's version of Elm Street.

I would like to see Beetle Juice remade but with Sam Rockwell as Beetle Juice, hardly considered horror I guess, but an entertaning film anyway.

I'd go for The Keep. Loved the book when I was a young'un, hated the film.

And a lot of the akira kurasawa remakes are good too, Fistfull of Dollars (okay the third remake of that sucked, Last Man Standing)?

LOL they can remake any film they want, I am so used to viewing them as seperate it does not bother me now.
TBH I find it strange, a true remake would be the same, so why bother? But by making a little different they make it more into a retelling for the times. LOL that is how I get the family to watch remakes now, I call them retellings in a more modern environment.
It was quite strange actually, the whole family were almost allergic to remakes, no idea why though. They would flatly refuse to watch them.

I don't like remakes, expecily new ones...
They remake some old classics with Bela Lugosi or Christopher Lee and in they role put some young pop movie star (mostly top comedy star aka A. Kutcher) for a role of a ... I don't know...
look what happens to the Texas Chainsaw Massacre!
Leatherface becomes Jason like...

GrindCallus: The thing is a remake...
Actually, you can't compare the 1982 version with the 1951 version of The Thing, these are 2 very different movies. JC made The Thing its own. So i don't agree.

I would like to see Uwe Boll direct a remake of Ulli Lommel's Boogeyman so we could put to rest the "who's the worst director" argument
Psycho was supposed to be a perfect shot for shot remake with a new cast and in colour, stupid idea really and it quite rightly failed.

i have to believe it would be worse with Uwe Boll and the Boll Trolls behind the scenes

and yet it still fails to capture the original movie, proof of Hitchcock's mastery. I got it on dvd somewhere.

I couldn't agree more about Psycho, but IMHO it's more down the performances that Hictch managed to pull out of his cast and the atmosphere created by masterful use of lighting and the B&W film stock.
None of which are true of the remake

hehe, anyone seen that Michael Haneke may be remaking his own Funny Games
Can't see any point in it myself, as the original is a brilliant movie already. Hopefully he doesn't dumb it down, though can't see Haneke doing that.
Funny Games (2007) at IMDB:
