Hi Spud, just saw you have Galaxy of Terror on the main page. Perhaps you want to add the following link:
Galaxy of Terror

This film is ok, but a 2 disk release is overkill for it. :-)

i would have but I have no specs or verified links. If you can verify it then please post some specs and I'll cram it on the frontpage :)

There is a small problem. I can verity this link. Easy, I made it myself and share it for ages. But the specs.....It is made from your links by concatenating and reencoding to 700 mb. The quality is not much worse than the original it just does not have AC3 sound anymore. However, how do I compute the effective bitrate from a twice encoded film?

I doubt it. Suppose the original is a 50 bits/sec piece of abstract mosaic art. I take this and reencode it with 5000 bits/sec. What would GSpot tell me? :-)

Ah ok, I see what you mean, but seeing as it was originally a 2CD release, it would have had a higher bitrate, which you would have had to decrease to make into one 700Mb file, so the bitrate GSpot gives you will be roughly there abouts correct ;)

Maybe. Nevertheless, there might be ppl who are more interested in a 1 disk release than in a slightly better 2 disk bandwidth waste :-)
