I'm currently downloading multiple DVD releases.

a 1.35GB release with 0 sources
a 700MB german release with at the moment 0 sources
a 3x700MB RAR release, dunno if it is the movie or not.
and I finished a german VCD which was 750MB.
The resolution of that one was 352x288, if you would resize that to 16:9 it would be 512x288, I put it to several blenders and came to a resolution of 640x272 with black bars removed.









It came out quite nice.
The only problem with VCDs is when something moves, you get blocky crap. So that's in there in several places.

I'm now trying to sync the VHS release with the german release. It's not going well, but I will keep fighting

EDIT: it seems when I let the german release run at 23.976 it's 16 seconds shorter than the VHS release. That sucks at some point.

it was nothing harmless, after 39 minutes and 11 seconds there's a black out in the VHS/LD release. It seems the movie has stopped at that moment. This part seems like 12-13 seconds then it continues.
At 91 minutes and 44 seconds there's another blackout, this time shorter.

EDIT: I think the lost 16 seconds came out just fine after checking carefully

Did you complete the STR rip yet? I gave you a friend slot in my queue, and bumped it up to PS Release.

Screens from the VCD(?) look good, not as washed out as the source we had to work with.

hmmm, from 97 minutes until 101 minutes there's some serious frame drops and blockyness

Well, the 3x700 part files are the last 3 VOBS of the movie with one VOB not unpacking. Still I'm gonna rip it and edit it into the VCD release. I guess near the end the quality becomes even better
