What is metalcore. Originally bands like Deftones and Vision of Disorder were called that, then stuff like Killswitch Engage, now Hatebreed?

Hatebreed is hardcore plain and simple. If you have emo parts and Iron Maiden/Pantera riffs, then your metalcore IMO. Remember when Pantera was called Power Metal?! WTF!

metalcore is hardcore with thrashriffs ;-)

and yes i like Hatebreed a lot, also i want to hear the new Slayer, they never made a bad record imo and fuck everyone who thinks he's so cool to say they are bad! learn your roots first!
