I'll set it to release, hopefully it might shift faster than the original is at the moment.

Hehe, this will be the last Evilspeak rip that I'll download until 'ultimate edition' is released July 13 2004
Here's some info about it...
Quote:
August 21: Anchor Bay grabs EVILSPEAK for DVD

Clint Howard fans rejoice! EVILSPEAK, in which the actor portrays a put-upon military school cadet who gets revenge with the help of a satanic computer and a herd of killer pigs, is coming to DVD from Anchor Bay. The film was shorn of considerable gore for its U.S. theatrical and previous video releases, but the disc is going to be a new, anamorphic widescreen transfer of the uncut version, Anchor Bay's Michael Felsher tells Fango. We do have extras planned at this point: audio commentary, trailers, etc., but they'll be officially announced later. Expect it next summer.

Quote:
December 22: Kevin Tenney films, DAWN/DEAD, more from Anchor Bay

Anchor Bay's Michael Felsher gave Fango the scoop on how a few much-awaited DVD projects are doing, as well as a new announcement. We will be releasing new special editions of the original WITCHBOARD and NIGHT OF THE DEMONS, Felsher tells Fango. There will be many extras, and [director] Kevin Tenney will be involved, as well as the producers. They'll both be out before Halloween.

EVILSPEAK, another Anchor Bay project Fango first broke the news about, now has a tentative street date: July 13. It will be the longest version ever on American home video, Felsher says of the movie, which was heavily trimmed to get an R rating for its original theatrical and VHS releases. [Star] Clint Howard and the director [Eric Weston] will be involved with the extras, which will be announced later. One thing he can tell us now is that the single DAWN OF THE DEAD DVD, coming March 9, won't be as bare-bones as first thought. In addition to the stunning new transfer, the disc will contain a new audio commentary by George and Chris Romero and Tom Savini, along with trailers and TV spots. However, that will pale in comparison to what the multidisc special edition will have; that should be coming in September.

Finally, Felsher reveals that Anchor Bay has picked up the rights to Peter Jackson's masterful mockumentary FORGOTTEN SILVER. That will be out sometime in the fall, with the same stuff [audio commentary, etc.] as on the First Run disc, but we're going to do a new transfer. Peter also did an interview with us for TONGAN NINJA, a wild mix of martial arts, comedy and music from another New Zealand filmmaker, Jason Stutter. Look for that one in mid-to-late 2004 as well.

Hmm... looks like that, quite many VN's are released in quality/uncut DVD versions next year. Cool =)

:D Hmm, maybe I'll just upload the ferox one for a while then wait for this new disc before I see the film. Then again it is 7 months away yet. :?

I finished and tried watching it but it looked like complete crap, massive blurring and streaking in it making it unwatchable. If I am the only one with this problem please let me know but if it was an actual release that was like this in the first place then I would say hands down probably one of the worst rips I have ever seen.

It plays fine for me. There's quite a bit of artifacting in the fast-moving scenes but nothing like the smearing you described. It's just the usual VHS-rip quality. Your codecs must be up the spout! :?

Same here. Plays fine...

Btw MCMLXXXVIII. Could you keep sharing 'The Beast In Heat' for sometime. Haven't started the download yet, so not sure how it's spreading. :)

I'm getting a feeling of deja vu here

AFAIK this film has only been released twice uncut, the UK pre-cert which this rip was taken from, and the UK DVD which has been released on these boards. It goes without saying the pre-cert doesn't have subs. The DVD only has subs for the US edit therefore unless someone fancies fansubbing this, and I don't, then there are NO subs for the uncut version.

Not picking on you xjackx, but I think people have asked about 3 or 4 times for these, and got the same reply, reading the thread would save everyone's time and effort.
