Thanks grind. Is it possible for a bit more resolution over ac3 if that's possible next time? Ac3 is nice and all, but 512 for 4:3 looks small on big screens so its where to spend your bits really

Well to me good sound is important and the frame quality took a serious hit at 576 even with mp3 (which was ~95MB, as opposed to 122MB ac3). It looks fine IMO, the DVD picture was very soft. I am picky too, so just pretend its a scene release! :wink:

Plus it felt great to make a 1CD after almost a year (oh yeah there was Offerings...).

I have a 1080p screen mate, things at 512 look like shit most of the time but that's the price we pay these days with the new tvs :lol:

i wouldn't have picked > 1/6th DVDr either

I've a 27" WS 1080p HD LCD myself and this looks fine on it. As good as non-HD stuff looks anyway... it makes every DVD look like shit.

I still have the VOBs on HDD if you really would want a *LiMiTED* 1/3rd rip. :googley:
