While lecturing in Brazil, Dr. Taylor Briggs, an authority on memory diseases is asked to consult on a patient found at the headwaters of the Amazon. During the examination, Taylor is accidentally exposed to a mysterious substance which unlocks a series of genetically stored memories inside his brain; memories that are not his, but may be glimpses into the life of a nefarious killer: a killer who has been committing nefarious tasks for over three decades.

They were just talking about this movie on Loveline tonight, briefly of course, but they were saying that it's coming to theaters in NY and LA? isn't this from 2005?

Its listed on imdb as 2005, but I could swear wasn't listed on it back in 2006 when Dennis Hopper was in House of Nine and Land Of The Dead as I remember browsing his other films thinking why he's doing so many turkeys these days.

If it wasn't for Billy Zane, I would have hated this crapfest. I did however think that the killer's lair was very cool.
