Just think "From Dusk Till Dawn" and enjoy.

Sort of unrelated, but, man, that main villain is one of the worst actors I"ve ever seen.

?????
I thought this was originally in english?
I remember I thought it was so strange that a german crew would actually make an english seaking movie!

Great film though. Laughed alot from it. kinda fades off towards the end though... :moon:

It's extremely common for 'foreign nation cinema' to put out english productions, there's more money in english speaking cinema. If you make a german film, you've pretty much screwed yourself over if you expect it to sell anywhere but germany, unless you have an exceptional movie.

I just can't believe that universal used to shoot identical movies, with different crews... an english crew working through the day and a German at night :o

Yep and Joe D'amato is the apitamy of it.

He would shot his films in Italy/Europe but always make them look like Amerrican productions.

Like in the Video Nasty "Absurd" it's blaintingly filmed in Italy but he sticks RED Fire Hydrants in the strett and blue post boxes, and the family invites friends round to watch An American Football match.

But the give away is all they eat is pasta while watching it.

Zombie Flesh eaters as well was shot in Amercia )for part) to make it come off as an american production.

I think the thinking is it will sell better internationally if it comes off as an American/English production!

Ian McCulloch is full of stories of working on Zombie Holocuast/Contamination/ZFE with whole crews of people who didn't speak english and he was the only one :?

Yeah, I watched that last night and thought exactly the same thing!

One movie where they did that and it really dismayed me is Hellraiser, which had minor actors dubbed by Americans and at one point we see an extra prominently wearing a baseball cap saying "I LOVE NYC". It's really obvious from the look of the streets and the design of the houses that it's filmed in the UK.

Here's where it gets tricky.

For some reason I can't do it right lately. Had a couple of double posts and now this.

I'm sure Spud, PCA or DXA will be kind enough to split it.
