btw, they used a cheap resizing filter for the dvd, so expect some moiree and other related relicts.
it's probably time now to move to hd-sources to get a similar rip-quality that dvd sources offered in the past.

Great film by the director of Alien3, Se7en, The Game, and Fight Club. Highly recommended.

Good film, I was going to post this but as it´s kind of a blockbuster movie, I thought it didn´t belong in this forum... Great movie btw.

This film is great! The scene early in the film involving the picnicking couple really sent a chill up my spine. Sometimes its the things they don't show....

Recommended! :beerchug:

I think the cult modern-psycho take that is Fight Club still remains the pinnacle fincher. Zodiac was brilliant, as was Se7en... and The Game is superb. I also rate Alien 3 on many levels and think it is judged far too harshly, and the Alien 3 recut was even better.

Panic Room on the other hand was a train wreck.

I'd say Fincher's movies, all of them so far, are all very dark thrillers/horrors. They certainly tip-toe the edgey thriller side :)

@vt, its not my rip so i really don't mind, I'd encourage people to post all alternatives but the AFR soooooo pulverises those rips in terms of quality.

I have a DVD5 myself, and will be buying the DVD when its released in the uk.

I wouldn't cheap out on this movie, get a 2gb... the movie is 2hrs 30mins long and is very appropriate at 1/2 DVDr, just as we see 90min movies at 1/3rd DVDr. Think its just a mind set thing, but its an excellent movie and you'll be wanting to upgrade with anything less.

why not buy it then? ;)

get a dvdr or an xvid, and replace it when its out in your region. Its not like its not going to be rapidly popular and not drop to £7.99 a couple of months later once it hits critical mass if the standard RRP is too high for you.

I think that both the quality of the movie and the amount of people who enjoyed/appreciated it are signficantly downplayed/overlooked.

I know one guy who says its his favourite alien film actually, and he likes all three of them*.

* yes, there's only three alien films :p Alien4 and AvP can rot in hell.
