Seems we may have a missing nasty

This has been posted 3 times before, a cut US VHS rip, an undersized DVD rip and a proper DVD rip, both DVD rips from the German Red Edition DVD.

I have since been informed that this is likely to be cut. It certainly looks a couple of minutes short.

Does anyone have the pre-cert that they can rip, or that they can compare against the DVD rips?

I intended buying one myself and ripping it, but the last one went for £75 on ebay

I assume this confirms the cut status of the German DVD, only the ultra rare stuff (BIH, DH etc) and films unavailable elsewhere command that sort of money these days.

Manzarek, I never noticed the year in IMDB. Both the Video Nasties and Art of the Nasty book list the year as 1981, with a running time of 77:00 mins. I would trust either of these sources ahead of IMDB, I would check the DVD but I put it somewhere for safe keeping, and can't find it.

I'm confused though, despite listing the running time as 77:00, the reprint of the Video Nasties book states that "It was released on DVD as a European 'Red Edition' disc in full screen but uncut, and with fairly good picture quality", but yet the running time of that DVD is 75:24.

Maybe both books got the running time wrong and 75:24 is correct. The running time of 85:00 on IMDB is nonsense, even accounting for film -> PAL conversion.

75min seems to be uncut can't beleave i got copy that is 5min less

i see your having ghosting problems still 2 filters u can try might help

Thanks. This is a very old rip, much older than the thread suggests, but I gave up on FOD because of the ghosting. I'll try again with those 2 filters when I get chance.
