Originally released and rereleased on video under several different titles in the 1980s, Trapped failed to recapture the large audience of Death Weekend, and like Fruet's other films, remains a fairly obscure title. Still, this is a Canuxploitation film worth seeking out–- although it has many similarities to Death Weekend, it ups the ante considerably with a hint of nudity, a splash of gore, big explosions and way more shotguns than his other films (and there's usually at least a few of those). Recommended.

on a sidenote, I'd die for a high resolution version of that poster, that could stay on my wall for sure (before I get tired and change it of course), damn nice artwork, and of course the catchy part is the smashed title, mix that with an axe and you have a winner.

TBH I don't understand why this rip has stayed alive and the RoTTeN one hasn't. That was ripped from the original UK pre-cert, I can't understand anyone outside of Holland taking this rip instead.

Also I wanna check this flick again, didnt like it that much the first time around...but sometimes a movie needs to be seen again (to me) before I dig it properly, and I love that sub-genre of backwoods survival, city x country clash and etc... nothing more scary than a bunch of old school ignorant xenophobic men and their sadistic sense of justice :beerchug:

RoTTeN rip:
Runtime : 89:39 mins
Video Bitrate : 1021
Resolution : 576x432

The running times aren't comparable though because the RoTTeN rip has the Video Network ident before the movie.

The movie is mono and so 60kb/s mono is preferable to 96kb/s stereo which would be equivalent to 48kb/s mono.

The RoTTeN rip is superior in every way, unless you need the Dutch subs, and from my experiences of the Dutch they tend to speak better English than a lot of the English.

Expect a reshare sometime next week.

Are they both PAL framerate? The times are very close, so if rotten's got the extra crap (the vn ident I mean), its the same source cut of the film possibly?

There are definite spots that seemed like cuts, maybe just for time (89 mins on the dot?). I'd have to watch it again, this movie is kick-ass!
