Well, that webpage says that the producer has a copy. But I'm pretty sure that I read somewhere the Mihalka has one, too. Who knows? Until I have a copy, it doesn;t really matter much, I suppose.

IMDb
Quote:
It's Valentine's Day in the tiny mining town of Valentine's Bluff, Nova Scotia, and for the first time in two decades the residents are planning a holiday dance. The long hiatus is due to the tragic events of 20 years earlier, when a pair of mining supervisors were too busy enjoying themselves at the dance to prevent an accident from killing a large contingent of their workers. The lone survivor, Harry Warden, took his revenge the next year by removing the hearts of his bosses and promising similar carnage if ever another Valentine's dance were held. Unfortunately, the town's horny early-'80s youngsters aren't big on tradition, especially since Warden is locked up in an insane asylum. They go ahead with plans to celebrate the holiday -- even after a heart in a candy box shows up and beloved biddy Mabel (Patricia Hamilton) ends up enduring an involuntary tumble dry. Soon, bodies begin piling up, setting the stage for a climactic trawl through the mines and surprise revelations about the fate of Harry Warden.

Shortly after the death of John Lennon, the MPAA made an example of this Canadian slasher film, forcing much of its gore to be excised. Nevertheless, My Bloody Valentine provided inspiration for Kevin Shields' influential band of the same name, which helped establish England's late-'80s shoegazer sound and paved the way for the post-rock of the 1990s. ~ Brian J. Dillard, All Movie Guide

IMHO, 2 CDs is a waste of space for such a shit movie. But it's always good to have a choice.

hmm, is prob a better rip than mine but 2 cd's does seem a bit overkill for a 90 minute movie that is cut to shreds (is from the same print as my release i believe), also AC3 sound on a MONO sound track seems a bit OTT to me....

Can anyone (like Spud, foe example) review the DVDRip posted on the news?

I haven't seen the movie... I hope that DVDRip has something to do with the uncut version of something like that!!

@Danillo Moreno: I found some spanish subs @ subdivx, you might want to try those in case you don't find brazilian --Good Luck :D

it is not, and you will not see an uncut version of this movie. Probably ever unless there's a change of management at Paramount.

If there were an uncut release, you'd hear about it. It would be a pretty big deal :)

I assume everyone knows this already but what he is looking for is Portuguese subs. There is no such language as Brazilian.

they call it brazilian due to the fact that there are some differences between the portuguese and the portuguese spoken in brazil, therefore the label "brazilian"

Whereas differences in the [more] latin languages are written are like the differences in saxon languages in the spoken department.

Mexicans and Spaniards write very alike (neutral spanish), however spaniards tend to use the plural "thee" form of nominative, whilst mexicans don't.
In South America, they use the "thy" nominative in the singular form, and there are very big variations in how they call things:
Example:
Cachucha <---in mexico, this word means Hat
Cachucha <--- In South america (like chile and Argentina) this word might mean Pussy (as in women genitalia).

There are also slight differences in sentence construction, etc.

In english this doesn't happen that much, so an english man can write one thing and a texan guy will understand what he just wrote (slighty, but he will  )
they main differences in english come in accent department
If you hear a Dallas native person speaking, and then hear a guy from NYC and another from London, which one will have the more understandable english? Surely they have said the SAME thing and perhaps sentence construction might be the same, but accent is another whole enchilada.

In Spanish, accents are also a major drawback, many mexican ppl wont understand what a spaniard said (and viceversa).

...well... there's a complicated answer for a simple question
