The community feature has been taken out of the newest release of Black Hand

but is in earlier version (a,b,c)

As for limiting the number of upload slots, I tried last night and couldn't find it either :?

But the com feature is after the offical tweaks (in the preferences) in Black Hand tweaks - Expand the misc tree and it should be there!

as paul said the community string has been removed from v4 as according to the emule project guys it's one of the things they dissaprove of  so for them not to get there mod removed from emule forum they have removed the community string but it is in the previous release they did v3b

As for the upload slot setting....basically you can't set the number of slots :P TBH uses ZZUL which sets the slots up according to how much b/width you have.....the first slot will get something like 90% of your bandwidth and then slot 2,3,4 get a trickle slot....usually about 0.5k/s until sloit one has completed the 10mb chunk then slot 2 becomes slot 1 and so on until all slots get there chunk completed....get it

I can't see why the community feature should be harmful in any way. This sucks.

I haven't upgraded from v3b to v4 yet. I have read some users complaining about it being slow to find sources. Have you experienced that?

Thanks

My downloads go great for about 2 hours, but then they ALL goto 1k a piece.

Shut down the PC, start up the mule again, same shit.

I tried changing ports, still the same thing.

Anyone experience this?

EDIT:

Looks like it was Razorback.
/deletes that server forever.=)

the quickest way i've found to get sources for a new *click* is to simply do a global search for the filename you are looking for and it usually comes up trumps straight away :D

my download speeds vary depending on the amount of files i'm getting and whether they are hugely sourced files, the more files i have downloading the faster my speed seems to go at a constant rate but i'f i've only got say between 5-10 files downloading my download speed usually goes the same as my upload which isn't great but it'll do :)

Strange. Same thing with my client. I need one or two popular files, which seem to drag my rare ones along. Wonder what could be the reason for this effect. But nevertheless, this is a good excuse to dl porn. These ones have always a good dl rate :-)

Bit Torrent would be a good place for Enterprise episodes I would have thought.

ok i've been doing some tests between TBH V3b and V4 this last week and i've come to the conclusion that V3b is WAY quicker for download speeds than V4 :o and 3b started downloading at quicker speeds far quicker than v4 even found the sources as training42 had stated earlier in the thread

As much as i like the new look of some of the features on V4 (client details especially) i'll be staying with 3b for the foreseeable future not only cuz the speeds have been flying with 3b but also as the community string is still available on it and it gives you lot a little booster in comparison to V4 which the dev's seem to dislike at emule-project :matrix:

So in conclusion if you want to use the black hand mod i would go for v3b (aslong as it doesn't crash on you eh Polityk :? ) as your speeds should be quicker and you can keep on boosting this delightful community of horror freaks in your queues :D

Weird, I've the EXACT opposite results :)
3b was a nightmare on my machine (see post on "using emule behind a router) v4 works just fine.
Speeds on 3b were non existant, with 4 they're good :)

that is strange  but maybe it has something to do with each individual PC.....i'm running a slow ass p3 450 for emule so i've got the vanilla release which one do you run off?

i've got this machine hooked up to a small network (hub) with one other pc and my laptop but the emule machine has the internal dsl modem in it (no router) and all other machines use the net from that when they are switched on and i've not had any other issues apart from slow speeds with V4......strange :?

I had great speeds on 3b, it would have been the mod of my dreams if it hadn't been so unstable, *BUT* only the untweaked version.
