Last Monday the guys from BREIN visited me at home to convince me to close ShareConnector or else they will start a civil proceeding with a claim. Of course, this does not mean I agree with their point of view, it’s just that I can't afford taking any risks.

Why is my government not cutting finances on BREIN instead of cutting it on youth sportclubs and psychiatric help institutes?

Nothing lasts forever. Handing the database for this site over to anyone, especialy people you know little to nothing about would be very silly, and a massive security risk for all the users past and present. Its pretty well known that alot of identical releases exists on both the edonkey network and the torrent protocol. Isohunt has had the option to make releases for other p2p like edonkey and gnutella since forever, but as the site is primariy a torrent index it has been little used. I can see the methodology of incorporating both sites to make one even larger p2p hub, and if anything it may give the edonkey network a much needed boost to its userbase. People seem to thing that the edonkey network is dead or that the majority of files found on it are of crap quality, fake, or ridden with malware.trojans/viruses. Its a sad fact that torrents have largly taken over as the king of p2p, but thats not to say that there is not still life in the old donkey. Though if the attitudes of some of the people around here are anything to go by, it doesnt stand much of a chance in getting off the ground. Shame really, but if that is the case, its less load for the isohunt servers servers to worry about. I would encourage people to take a look at isohun't release setup, and instead of complaining about something thats unlikely to change, start a thread on isohunt's forums that may get the attention of the admin, and make some constructive suggestions as to how it may be improved to accomodate ed2k releases.

I know for a fact no one is getting the database to this site. This site is dieing, ableit very slowly. Edonkey is dieing, albeit very slowly. Its not financialy viable to keep this site open any longer. The users here donate absolutely nothing to the upkeep of the site, so why should it be kept open? It not a charity.

As for fakes on Isohunt, that is the nature of indexing. We get everyone elses shite. Its a constant clean up job to remove the crap from isohunt's database that other site admins were either slow at removing, or couldnt be bothered to remove at all, before it got indexed. There are virtualy 0 fake 'isohunt' releases. The moderators see to that.

And as I stated in my previous post, the release system on isohunt is more than adequate to accomodate the releases from ed2k. From you're statement, you now little to nothing about how the release system actualy works. Thats not to say it couldn't be improved, but I wont be expecting to see any constructive critisism or your part.
