Halloween and Halloween II - I watched them back to back and I liked that a lot. Actually you can see them as one big movie, because II just continues where number one ended. Very good experience and recommendable to anyone.

Just got back form the cinema, seen La Terza Madre by Dario Argento. Mein Gott, what an offensive piece of shit. Stupid dialogues, obnoxious acting, especially by Asia Argento, which played in english and then selfdubbed to italian, oh my, what a horrible voice!!! She can't act, her only alibi could be that the situations are so demented that she can only "act" demented. Many tits and gore, but not entertaining at all, Argento has been able to spoil even the simplest image from any envolvement of the viewer. He does not deserve the money they gave him to produce this "stuff". Italian horror (and cinema in general) is simply long time dead.

Lexx season 1 - 4 movie length episodes.
Excellent erotic scifi series. Very unusual as its gory & has female nudity. Basically its about a group of misfits, an undead assassin, a security guard, a sex slave & a robot head who steal a giant spaceship thats actually a living bug which belongs to the leader of the light universe.

The German Chainsaw Massacre.

Very odd confusing gory film that I struggled to keep up with. Very poor quality rip with english subs which may have contributed to the confusion slightly. Not a great film either.

Without Warning - great B-movie with hilarious special effects. An alien with flying pancakes attacks people. Recommended to all SBiG fans.

The Brain Eaters - fifties 'red scare' scifi/horror movie with bugs attaching themselves to the necks of people, making them drones. I will release this one tomorrow or Monday, as the final release of the Arkoff Film Library collection.

Frozen goodness today:

The Last Winter: not bad, good atmosphere and a pleasant been-there-before feel (The Thing). The antagonist was a little weak in my opinion, but it was on solid foundations.

30 Days of Night: I was surprised. Even with a few too many "oh look I'm mean and scary" close-ups of the vampires, there was decent gore (although it seemed like some things had been cut), non-detracting acting, and nice atmosphere. Almost zero comic relief was a plus too. A good watch... and I'll probably watch again when the uber edition hits dvd.

I saw the following movies the last two days:

1. The Hidden: Similar to many sci-fi movies. Decent gore. The ending was too fast for me.
2. Shaun of the Dead: Funny comedy with English zombies.

The first was a download the second was on a DVD.

Yep. Not a bad experience this time either. Nobody on cell phones, no babies crying, nobody talking.

Children of the damned 1963.

Strange B/W scifi horror with a group of 6 kids from all over the world who are telepathically connected & are able to will people to do stuff.
Pretty good.

Blood Orgy of the She-Devils - this title makes you smile, but the movie doesn't live up to it. A witch performs several different rituals, among which a seance and voodoo. It has that nice grindhouse feeling, but no gore.

Flight of the Living Dead - pretty good zombie movie. Death at 30,000 feet.

La Mansion de los Muertos Vivientes - wow, this was really boring! Franco in his most typical way: lengthy scenes where nothing happens, lots of nudity, lesbian sex and fake "zombies"/"living dead". A real bummer, this one.

Star Wreck in the Pirkinning - funny Star Trek spoof from Finland. Captain Pirk, Commander Dwarf and Info are on a conquering tour through the universe. Some real good jokes, some lame ones (read: Zucker and Zucker humor).

Satan War - very low budget movie in which you see a couple in their house for most of the time. Not really exciting.

Tales From The Crypt - quite nice, but not very spectacular. Good story (or stories), but not something I'm gonna watch again.

Venomous - boring! Very, very stupid movie about genetically enhanced snakes infected with a killing virus. Yawn.

El Ataque de los Muertos Sin Ojos - lots of people die in this second part of the Blind Dead collection, but the fact that the "sacrifice" of only one chick can trigger all these events amazed me. Some footage from part 1 had a rerun, btw.

Shark Attack - very mediocre movie, nothing about it is special. Some bad continuity things, shark entrails and blood for the gore fans, but like I said: nothing special.

Planet Terror - loved it, great movie
Wrong Turn 2 - Not bad, a few jumpy scenes but not as good as the first.
