Knowing your post history, i guess it's "Fr?ulein Deb?tantinnen" DVD and other xxx movies you have problem with!
Some (most) of those are badly done, just plain vhs transfers and sometimes its impossible to fast forward...

Not that I ever had those problems, and i deny owning the above mentioned DVD!

Sometimes I get that too..Hell,some movies won't even work in my standalone but will work in the Xbox or PS2.Not sure if it's the format or just the way they encoded it in the first place.I know these crappy brand dvd-r's I have been burning will not work in my standalone but works in everything else.

I hate my standalone DVD/CD player. Slow as hell, too sensitive, and won't play anything but silvers. Does have some nice features though.

It is a 6 disc tray, so about the only thing it does well is function as a merry-go-round for my discs...

In WinDVD go to Tools-->Options-->Bugger Settings.

Uncheck 'Enable problems for Buggers'.

And you should be OK. What's happened is, your system's detected you're a bugger and is acting accordingly. If that doesn't work try downloading WinUNBugger V1.37 (latest build).

Like this one?

Supports Divx 3-5, XViD, MP3, JPG (?), subtitles (smi, srt, sri)
and works with DVD+R/DVD+RW/DVD-R/DVD-RW

(Plays all regions ofcourse!)

Pretty cheap too, 1190 SEK (about ?129)
