OK, nevermind. Maybe I will fix them, did so for Premutos, so why not for this one?

I just thought it would be nice to make it clear for everyone that it's not what they expect to get.

I think the guy that did them didn't have the Grimrippers rip. He spoke to his mate who told him what time the first words were spoken.

I guess in that instance he didn't do a bad job.

I know, he said so himself:

Sorry I did the best I could without having the rip, all I did was copy the times straight from the VHS and then drop it by ten seconds

I agree with you that he didn't do a bad job and I'm not angry or something, I just think it can be misleading to post that the subs are matching the DVDrip while they aren't exactly.

So, I purchased a copy of this movie a couple years back on ebay, and received a fully uncut pressed copy of the burning moon as an import from germany. I saw this movie about 6 years ago on vhs with the subs and thought it was a wonderful little gorefest with a decent story. Now, I have the dvd and no subs to go with it. So, I ran into this forum and found the subs, I ripped the dvd down to xvid at 29.97 fps and started watching with the subs, but as it has been forementioned after soem time the subs start getting out of synch and come way before any dialogue is even spoken. I don't want to manually go in and fix this myself, and was curious as to whether anyone ever fixed the srt file to match an xvid rip so that the subs match the video all the way through. Any help would be greatly appreciated, you seem like a smart bunch of people with the know how, and as much as I hate to admit it, I know how to fix it myself, I just don;t want to take the time because it's just so tedious to do. If anyone can help me, thanks in advance.

that's kinda what I figured. I was so excited when I got the srt file tha tI didn't read the rest of this thread, and now I know if I would have further read, that the subs didn't match up, and I wouldn't have gotten so excited, lol. Guess I'll just have to do it myself. Could I drop the framerate and this would remedy the problem possibly? Make it 25 fps instead of 29.97 maybe?

Still didn't work at 25 fps even with the 25 fps given in the subtitles rar file. But it looked to me like the subs written for 25 fps might match my 29.97 fps rip, did the person who uploaded the rar mixup up which file ws which per chance? I'm going to give it a try next, I'm going to place the one labeled 25 fps from the rar onto my dvd rip I made last night...

That didn't work either, it was still off by about 10 seconds or more. Guess we'll never have a really working copy of the subs, which sucks cause I know it's a gore movie, and I know it's low budget, but the script is written pretty well...oh well...

okay, I decided to go back and re-synch the subs myself using subtitle workshop, it seems like an easy enough program to use to do so. If I can get it to work, does anyone want me to put the re-synched srt file up?

Well I'm in the process of grabbing the dvd, and since I already hand typed out the sucker I'll do my best to resynch it to the dvd rip all proper like...should take me a day or two to get the rip and maybe a week to go through the whole movie...so unless someone else is quicker then me its only a matter of time...But by god is wrong that I'm really starting to hate the sight of this movie ...and I love Olaf so much... :)

If you don't mind doing so I would be soo so so so so happy, you have no idea how long I've been wanting just these subs, I think I paid 45 bucks just to get this dvd so I could have a decent video print of this thing, and I've been waiting over two years just to find the subs. Don't get me wrong I was really happy to watch the first 36 minutes subbed, ecstatic to be quite honest, but I really want to finish the movie now ya know? Glad to hear you might take the time to do so :) :D

I'd appreciate fixed subs too!

@ para_andro: 300 lines is nothing. Fixed some subs before with 700-1000 lines.
