weirdness with friend in sivka 30b v10b5

hi this is only happening with HHAH Iconoclast but it seems he does not want to stay in my friends list!? it has only started happening recently and sometimes it is ok 4 a coupla days but i have already had 2 re-add him to my list again twice 2day. has ne1 else experienced this weirdness? ne clues?

I'm only guessing, but this might be because you have failed in my clients identification. (ie. in 'security tab': Secure Identification)

Tried to fix this, but not sure how

Hopefully you get over that friend list problem by switching the client

yeah am using the secure ident myself so dunno....as U say maybe go away after swiching the client but not changed nething recently so uncertain why it started. am wait to change to new version but atm got stable connection it seems so getting good downloads but the way things have been won't be long till my stb needs rebooting

shoulda looked thu my logs found the answer:

29/10/2003 15:18:59: Client 'HHAH Iconoclast' and 'PioKey' have the same userhash or IP - removed 'Both'

there is another entry:

29/10/2003 15:28:09: Warning: Found matching client, to a currently connected client: PioKey (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx) and HHAH Iconoclast (xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx)

the ip addresses' were different.......

@satan there are no entries for U so either not gettin files from me or need 2 do a4af

What do you mean? My nick is always the same. I temporarily added "pl" to it 2 weeks ago, but this was the only change I ever made. I'm also using another instance of eMule which is marked as --temporary--.

It happened two times yet. I put you in my friends list and the next morning, when I check, another client replaced you. I suppose your too have you personal leech and identity stealer.

i've spotted a Piokey Ultra 192 in my queue a while ago that was stealing one of your hashes (can't remember who now) but i did tell the person whose hash it was that they had been cloned......damn hash stealers :matrix:

i've noticed some servers won't let me in now cuz i've not got a .30b client installed something to do with a zlib aware client...but i'm sticking with Black hand v3b based on 30a cuz it still has community string unlike the newer clients :twisted:

The community string features have been removed from the newly released mods because the emule dev's wish for emule to be a "share to everyone, download from everyone" kinda thing, not "share more to one group and some to others" which is good in some ways and not so good in others.

Pros: It lets everyone have a fair chance of getting a file instead of giving priority to certain users as well as files

Cons: No more priority sharing to people in a close community such as this one as its free for all
