Grave Misdemeanors (1989): Movie with the strangest title I have ever read. I didn't know that it was actually a horror comedy. It surprised me a bit. But the acting was so cool and the whole movie and his atmosphere made me to fall in love with this movie. It's well worth seeing, I absolutely enjoyed it. :beerchug:

I dunno about anyone else (Not many if the thread about it is any indication) but I decided to check out Insomnifest and Saturday I watched "Gutterballs" It was marketed as an 80's style slasher/ comedy. It was anything but. First, while this was noted on all release info, that this had some pretty hardcore sex and a very long (I'd say about 10 minutes) rape scene in it. The gore was good but the acting was horrible and Im pretty sure that the script was 80% "Fuck" and "You cunt!" The story was also completely convoluted and the reveal at the end was stupid. I do however have one good thing to say, the killer's mask was awesome and pretty inventive. (psst it was a upside down bowling bag with a pina colada umbrella and bowling shoes on it. It looked like a smile and eyes)

Fangs of the Living Dead - another De Ossorio flick, but I liked this one better than at least part 2 and part 4 of the "Blind Dead" series. Maybe I even liked it better than the other two BD's. The atmosphere is good, the story is not very interesting, but acted out pretty well. Its length is a plus: not too short, not too long (to get boring). Recommended if you're into Euro horror - and who isn't?

The City Of Lost Children... french film & very unusual. Somebody is kidnapping all the kids & stealing their dreams. Had its creepy moments. Probably a french childrens film but I enjoyed it but I suspect its gonna be one of those love it or hate it films.

the odd thing is I love that film, I love Delicatessen, I even like Amelie... and yet i despise Alien 4.

I hope he never makes another american movie because his only attempt was a dreadful movie :(

In fact, the co-creator of delicatessen and City may infact have played a bigger role than i thought, since his new solo project looks more in style with these than the first director:

wasn't a horror (tho' in them days i guess they were)... the great rock 'n' swindle. i love that film, hadn't seen it for yrs. only thing was, they censored the live interview on tv, i was gutted, really gutted.

Be confident & logical & you can do it. I suspect you are more likely better off with AGK but lets see how you go
