If you also think that some of the offtopicy bits of the collections repsonses need removing, that can be done also. I moved a batch last night. You can post here, in your collection or pm a mod or me when you think a thread is ready to be moved.

thx

I believe he's after the 'most pointless post award' by the looks of it hehe, or perhaps must have 'ambiguous post of the year'

And the winner of the second anual Spuddie is...

no it can be, all it needs is a coherant structure and updated if/when necessary and that is 'verified'. If you thinks it's done, let a mod know and it will be moved :)

For example, the video nasties thread is almost verified. It just needs a menu system of named anchors to make it a bit easier to browse. ie.

<a href="#1">Film Title1</a>
<a href="#2">Film Title2</a>
<a href="#3">Film Title3</a>
<a href="#4">Film Title4</a>

<a name="1">Film Title1</a>
<a name="2">Film Title2</a>
<a name="3">Film Title3</a>
<a name="4">Film Title4</a>

Code:
<a href="#1">Film Title1</a>
<a href="#2">Film Title2</a>
<a href="#3">Film Title3</a>
<a href="#4">Film Title4</a>

<a name="1">Film Title1</a>
<a name="2">Film Title2</a>
<a name="3">Film Title3</a>
<a name="4">Film Title4</a>

That is despite the fact it still doesn't have all the links. The thread can be updated whenever they become available, but it is as complete as it can be :)

..oh yeah forgot to elaborate....

Spud I'm quite worried this board is becoming tight-assed...

There - wasn't that frank and spot on ?

Chit chat about a release will always happen .....Sometimes even helpfull , ie suggested additions to a collection.....

You wanna cut it all out once a collection is completed and verified , go ahead , but until then I plead you leave it !

And even when it's completed and moved, you would have to lock the topics for it is inevitable some newbie wanders him giving feedback on how much the series/movie blowed/rocked....

Yes, that's reality for you: can't solve one knot without getting yourself into another....

There have been complaints and some of it is very justified. Take a look sometime at some of the replies ;)

Also look at how unnavigatable some collections are, the verified collection section is theref merely to seperate complete and organised threads from those that aren't anywhere near finished or organised.

That's not what I'm talking about here at all, what I'm talking about is the first posts that are incomplete and don't contain the links on the other pages of the threads. With all the 'chit chat' it is hard to locate these files if the first post isn't moderated properally by it's creator.

Here's two examples:

Ok, here's how I understand it.

It all depends on how the first post is maintained. If it is clean and updated, then this is a verified collection. If it is a mess and links are scattered all around the thread, this is an unverified collection.

This does not mean that verified collections are closed in any way. You can add new links, replace the old ones, and of course post normally.

Am I right or is there something I got wrong?

On the side, I don't think this division was necessary, but perhaps it's going to work ok when we all get used to it.

yes, sorry i thought that was clear. If it wasn't that's what I was thinking when I posted about it. There's a thread in the site development section where I mentioned I was going to do it.
