Looks sweet :beerchug:

While you're online, I may just be cheeky enough to ask another question.

When adding the audio, is there a way to tell which one I need without the use of speakers? I don't have any of this machine at the moment.

Glad its easier to understand & thanks for pointing it out :drunk:
If you spot anything else that could be improved to make it easier to understand whilst youre working your way through, I'd appreciate your input so I can correct it :D

Regards your audio, you got any headphones?
I've never had to choose without hearing the streams so I cant help although maybe someone could suggest an ordering of audio streams on the DVD so as to pinpoint which one its likely to be. :wacky:

Use headphones :) Otherwise I'd look at the kB/s or the amount of channels and choose the best one (highest specs).

Best way is to use headphones, though. Better than speakers.

Ah, I see now that it was the same mistake. Mmmkay...

I'll have a scout around for some headphones! Hopefully got some lying around.

Then it should be obvious what the audio is? Its in Jap I think so just match it to the original DVD? And just add one stream?

If your choice is between a mono track or stereo track, you can load the streams into 'goldwave' & that will show you immediately which is which as left & right will be identical for mono & different for stereo.

What are the 2 streams? 1 a commentary & another the film?

My personal choice would be to use an ac3 stream, but damn, what the hell is 6 for?
When you play the DVD on your TV/DVD player, does it allow you to choose different languages/ commentaries?

I'm not very wise on these things, but to me it looks like a bad sector on your DVD.
Have you tried to copy the VOB files to your HDD without using decrypter?

I think its just a faulty dvd, its my second copy too :(

I tried just setting it up in GK without even decrypting and it would run for 50% or so (making the .d2v file) and then fail so its gotta be a dud.

No worries, thanks for the help with all the other stuff though!

If you know which VOB it is, try loading it onto a different pc in a different drive. You never know it might copy over. I've found some disks work in 1 drive & not another, especially if the drive the disk was burned on was faulty.
If that works, store it on a pen drive & copy all the other VOBs off the DVD & load that last one from pen drive & youre away.

Good luck & youre welcome

Good idea, I will give that a go.

I tried loading the actual vobs from the DVD, as it is a copy so I use the vStrip thing, this was the error message it got at around 50%

What is vstrip? I've never heard of it :?

What I meant was for you to explore the DVD & copy/paste each one onto your HDD & that way you can identify the faulty VOB.

Oh. :o

It was just something on the ripping page of GK

And yeh I will have a go at the moving etc when I get a chance, but I think whatever it was copied from was faulty, it plays fine but just won't do anything else.

Hey bugs

Many thanks for the guide - very simple to understand and easy to follow. I've been using AGK until now, i'm getting much better results with the simple settings you provided!

Done about 10 rips so far, all oversized except one - not sure what thats about, but will read through the threads when i've got more time...

Cheers :beerchug:

Why do you think they are oversized?
