aye, well i don't mind. They say they are now setting up a clustered DNS and replacing this server we are on. Its probably just a string of bad luck but we can't really afford the downtime as it will eventually hurt traffic.

Going to have to fork out the big bucks, I'll see if i can get an update today from the other host.

Can i get some tester volunteers again? Same plan, i'll send out the host files entries once i've migrated and then i'll publish it on http://www.bothanspies.com/service/status.html

Please make sure you have removed any host file entries for dead-donkey.com

search bots, name gives them away. Those are how sites get into search engines.

Regarding the two sets of database errors we received yesterday:
Quote:
It seems that a clients is extracting a file which is 20GB in size which uses up the CPU resource. I'm currently working on it. Your patience is much needed.

Once again: terrible management of resources. :(
Btw. the login form is NOT centered when viewed with firefox.

I don't really use firefox. It is just that opera is not installed on university computers, but firefox. When I happened to visit the site on a school PC the last few times the login was not centered. The browser is configured to delete all offline data when I close it, so it should not be the cache. I will try it again and report back what I experienced.

We call those "Unreproducable Bugs" :lol:

Works fine here in:
* Opera 9.26
* firefox 2
* IE 6
* IE 7

I haven't tested safari, or any other niche browsers, but i can confirm its centered in all of the above :)

I just wanted to note that sending private messages using the forum has got overly complicated. It must be the phpBB update causing this.
It took me about 5 minutes to find the "Compose message" link and another 2 to find a way to add a recipient. :suicide:

I always use the pm button beneath every post. This way you click once and you

1) compose a message
2) have the correct recipient already addressed

Keep in mind that the title of your pm will be the same as the topictitle where you clicked the button. You have to change that if you don't want it.

They've added functionality, previously you (or at least I) always had to hit pm below every single post, which as slayer says fills in the recipient and puts you in compose mode (and now even quotes the message)

To go straight to your messages, just click "x new messages" and it will go straight to your inbox.

"Mark all forums read" isn't working for me right now. Just tried it 3 times with no change.
