Dear Valued Customers,

Malaysian server aka Hercules is taken down for upgrade. It will be a Quad Core Xeon.

This upgrade is for us to serve you better.

Looks like we got the server updated at 3am this morning which explains why the clock changed; i think its fixed now though... can you confirm vae? All the times i see are exactly what they should be. I have my clock set at UTC and observing Daylight Saving Time.

Works for me. Maybe it had something to do with the servertime?

You might have seen the feckin' db errors, i raised a ticket as soon as i saw them:

Code:
Currently, we have some issues with the server.

We will fix them as quickly as possible.

Please, be patient.

Sorry for inconvenience.
Regards,

I'll find out what they were and ask them what they are putting in place to prevent them. Last time it was some moron processing a 4GB file into the database

Hi,

We believe we found the root cause of the downtime. It was due to a severe resource abuse from a spamming activity of an account. We had suspended it.

However, we are still continue to monitor our server until it achieve a satisfactory stage of stability.

Thank you for your kind patience.

Concerning the timeouts:
Quote:
Please be informed that we are deligently in solving the problem. We know that it is annoying and disappointing. We are running a complete chkdsk and scanning of accounts in search of the root caused. Our upstream provider are also helping us in this problem.

We will update you on the situation.

I've opened another support ticket, i have no clue. They've been claiming other accounts have been attacked/spammed, if they aren't just clutching at straws, I'm going to ask them to disable it instead of pussy footing around it.

Will wait for the awesome answer we'll no doubt get.

Looking at the resource utilisation on the box, plenty of cpu and ram... its got to be something eating up bandwidth so the spamming claim may indeed be the case.

Once there was a thread about the text being too huge.

While I was updating my avatar (and I unintentionally chose "from HTTP link") I had the same issue and the following text on top of the page:

Code:
