The blonde hair kid has eyes, trust me

The other guy is wearing a bathrobe, because they have to stay in school the entire night. Many kids were walking around with sleeping bags, dressed in pyjamas, so that when they fall asleep, at least it will be in more "normal" sleeping conditions. The bathrobe guy has made a gimmick out of it over the past few years.

And yes, it was very good!

Nice job Slayer

Btw, do you colour your hair or are you simply lucky enough not to have gone grey? :googley:

That moment has already passed, didn't it? Well, at least Nostradamus told me so.

Almost time for the next horrornight. I have to pick 6 movies with the following running times:

- 90 mins
- 95 mins
- 90 mins
- 105 mins
- 145 mins
- 135 mins

For the first three running times I have several options, for the 105 mins I have two shorter options, during the 145 mins I'm gonna show two shorter movies but the last one, the 135 mins, gives me trouble. I only have:

The Exorcist (127, too short)
Aliens (148, too long)

Any suggestions?

How about "The Shining" which is 146 minutes long for the 145 min period?

I was thinking about the following films:

- Return of the Living Dead
- Prince of Darkness
- Friday the 13th (I have several other options for this spot, for example The Fly)
- Pet Sematary OR The Changeling (which one would you guys choose, considering subject of the movie compared to the rest of the list?)
- Double feature: Evil Dead 2 and Bloodfeast
- Creepshow OR a movie which runs for 135 mins

Like posted before in this thread, "The Shining" is a great film, but maybe a little too long/boring for youngsters.

I hope not the first one. That is pretty boring imho.

If you have trouble with Shining, The Changeling is probably also too slow paced. Pet Sematary is much more scarier too imho. :googley:

I'll think about other suggestions. :wacky:

Really? Or are you the only one who thinks so? :P I can always throw in The Fly, or The Howling, or another classic.

One vote for Pet Sematary.

One more vote for Pet Sematary. The Changeling has it's moments but it's very slow paced in between.
I haven't seen Creepshow, but Necronomicon would be a great alternative if you are not sure about that one.

What about the subjects/subgenres of the movies?

I've got:

- zombies
- satanistic
- slasher (or something else, like if I do Pumpkinhead I will have "alien", if I do The Fly I will have "mad scientist")
- supernatural
- demonic/slasher
- anthology

I'm only missing vampires/werewolves, of which one could be included in spot nr 3. Why is there such a big lack of good classic vampire movies?

Well Nosferatu is a great vampire flick but I'm doubtfull kids can/will sit it out. Remember the first time I saw it, loved it ever since

Good vampire moves:

+ Fright Night 1/2
+ Salem's Lot
+ Near Dark
+ 30 Days of Night
+ Lost Boys
+ Underworld 1

I might plan Lost Boys next year, as its running time fits only in the place of Pet Sematary. Underworld and 30 Days are too recent, I want to show the kids classics from the 70s and 80s. The others I don't own (yet).

Hehe, I knew you'd post that. Could you also post a movie which is fit for this night and runs for 135 minutes?

What about Dawn of the Dead? Obviously there's about a million different versions now but IMDB says there's a USA Directors Cut at 139 mins.

EDIT> and I totally agree with Spud on Near Dark :D

EDIT AGAIN> Bugger! Just noticed you showed DOTD last year :(

What about a Dario Argento? Isn't there a new, longer version of Suspiria about now?

Argento has several fine movies, but none run for 135 minutes. Visiting his imdb page, I noticed they're gonna remake Suspiria http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1034415/ :suicide:

Any other suggestions for 135 minutes? It's a shame you can't search on running times...

It's really hard to find an older movie which runs for 2h 15m. I had a look at all the ones I have downloaded so far and none of them fits, sorry Slayer. :(
