Mummy Maniac - found it for $5 at a local movie store. Read the back, saw the pictures and expected horrible cinematography. Unfortunatly that was the best part. This is probally the worst movie I have ever seen. Bar none. Most of the movie takes place in a Large... janitors supply closet? By most.. I mean 90%. If you have someone you hate, make them watch this all the way through.

Zombies The Beginning. What a crazy film. Low budget, bad dubbing, the whole package.
I loved it. I was heavily stoned but I think that actually helped. First third of the film is not too bad. By halfway you have a full on zombie fight underway but then it got really fucking weird. I went for a piss and come back and thought I was watching Aliens. If you see this flick you will appreciate that the second half is basically Aliens with zombies. I won't comment too much as I do not wish to spoil it, but you should watch this crap.
Even my wife enjoyed it, in a 'laughing at the shit film' kind of way.

I watched saw 5 today. Because.. well... why not? Gotta say, kinda another huge letdown like most of them. At least for me. Couple gory moments but nothing to intense. It wasnt as challenging as well.. any of the others. You kinda didnt need to find ANYTHING out. It was all laid out for you in the beginning. The only thing that made me cringe in the slightest was the saw-straight-up-the-arm scene. I dont know why.. I just dont like people fucking with my hands!

Pride and Glory I've watced it, cause of Edward Norton. I even watched fucking Hulk cause of him! And i can say it's a good movie. Good drama movie if you want. I like Collin Farrell too. Maybe it was a bit hard to him, after he acted Alexander Macedonian (cause of that gay stuff), but i always thought he is good. And he is. Specially the last scene. I even started to cry. I'm not giving you a bull, i mean it. Well, it's probably cause i have daughter two. And i can say, i understand both of them: and Jimmy, and that ispanian. And other good thing, that this movie has some atmosphere. I couldn't describe it it, but you just feel it, when you watch. Well, nobody likes cops, and this movie, and this atmosphere doesn't brings you to like them, and i don't really give a shit bout that, that's not the point. The point is, that it has something. Not hollywoody piece of shit.

Gran Torino - Non horror, but just an epic movie! Hella funny, and yet so badass. Last House In The Woods - What the fuck. It sucked. Scream - Not too bad for a terribly predictable movie. Scream 2 - Eh.

Evil Dead 2 - I love this movie so much. When I was talking with the movie (like "Groovy!" and "Swallow this!") the kids next to me thought I was freaked out, LOL. Some things still amaze me, I guess I just don't know this flick by heart yet Bloodfeast - actually, this movie is pretty boring. It was the second time I saw it and it was a letdown. I think if it wasn't a nasty I wouldn't have watched it ever. Prince of Darkness - wow, great atmosphere! I hadn't seen this one yet, but I really liked it. Carpenter is one of the greatest. The science stuff was a little boring sometimes and I thought the chick could have looked a lil better, but I really liked the ever growing tension in this movie, it kept me on the edge of my seat. I also really liked the "Susan, radiologist, glasses". Pumpkinhead - I had expected a little more of this one, but I still thought it was entertaining. What I didn't like is that Lance very quickly decide his move to conjure up Pumpkinhead was a wrong one. I'd have liked it if he at first tried to help Pumpkinhead finishing the job and then turn. Also, Joel got converted very fast, from a petty criminal to a Jehovah's Witness almost. Pet Sematary - wow, just wow. It was 15-20 years ago I saw this one and last night was the second time. Like The Thing last year, it has risen to my top 5 immediately. This movie gave me goosebumps twice. Me!! Goosebumps!! Twice!! Return of the Living Dead - funny as hell, this one. All cliches come together. Linnea Quigley does what she always does (show T&A for no apparent reason) and the zombies were not really clasical, but still enjoyable and kind of smart ("send more cops"). Creepshow - second viewing. Actually I only like the last two stories of which "Crate" is my favourite. The last one with the bugs is cool because the main character is so incredibly rude in it: (telephone conversation between Upson Pratt and the wife of his late colleague Castonmeyer who killed himself) Upson Pratt: Mrs. Katzenjammer... would you mind telling me who gave you my private number? I'd like to fire him. Lenora Castonmeyer: It was in my husbands address book, you son of a bitch! Upson Pratt: Well, I can't fire him can I?

Man, Crate scared the hell out of me when I was a kid. I can still see the mopping up the blood scene in my head. Just watched Iron Man and loved it. I enjoyed the comic many moons ago and I thought they did a great job with it. Nice smarmy/funny dialogue for Tony Stark without becoming overly comicy and good action sequences.

Scanners - It did not disappoint
Scream 3 - It did disappoint. I haven't watched them all till recently, because I'm getting ready for 4.
Girls Rebel Force Of Competitive Swimmers - A decent unconventional zombie movie with a high school lesbian sex scene. makes you want to have chlorine on hand during zombie apocalypse.

Mmm, forgot to post here for a while (again...) The Witching - maybe I'm not so much into this witch thing, cause I didn't like this so much. It was slow, cliche and not scary at all. Oh, and predictable too. Cemetery of Terror - I liked this one, it had this old school horror feeling all over it. It's a mix between a slasher and a zombiefilm, and it makes it work. Recommended. Para Entrar A Vivir - wow, great film! Even though it doesn'runf or very long (67 mins) this gave me the creeps. It made me sit on the edge of my seat in a way not many movies can do that to me now. Not very spectacular, but the atmosphere is gripping. Recommended!! The Mutant Chronicles - someone on imdb wrote it reminded him/her of Lord of the Rings in the future and I must concur. In the beginning I was willing to let myself be dragged into this movie, as I felt adventurous. In the middle part I wsa hoping for this movie to be saved and in the end I was disappointed. The second half of this movie is so weak, it even discredits the first part in a certain degree. Ron Perlman can't save this flick, he has one of the most cliche parts in the final part of the film. Shame, it could have been great. Tokyo Gore Police - yes!! Great stuff! I liked Meatball Machine and Machine Girl, but this one is even better than those two! A great ride in goreland, way over the top only the Japanese can do it thi way! Recommended highly! Day of the Warrior - sometimes you have to watch stuff you release so you can tell others about it This is one of those testosteron movies I'm releasing atm, and if you feel horny or want to, put this on. It has very slutty big breasted agents who change clothes all the time. In the meantime some ridiculous gangsters make explosions and the like.

Spacehunters: Adventures in the Forbidden Zone (1983): Very watchable Sci-Fi/Action movie with Peter Strauss as hero, who has to rescue three beautiful women held captive by an evil half man half machine being called "Overdog". I enjoyed this very much, because I saw this as a child and iit brought back some memories. It also has some fun jokes in it, which work very well. Only downside: it's a bit too short for all the content you get presented. The Cellar (1989): Typical 80s B-movie horror. It's was fun to watch, but got a bit slow and boring sometimes. The monster was not as cool as I would have liked it to be. I would rate it 6/10. Zombi 2 (1979): Nice zombie movie with lots of zombies in it. It takes place on an island where voodoo is said to turn the dead into living dead. Whereas we don't get to know if this is true, the movie still delivers some nice gore and a pretty long scene with people fighting against the undead plague. It has Ian McCulloch and the famous scene where a zombie is getting his hands on a shark. Recommended!! OneChanbara (2008): Asian B-zombiemovie. It is said that it's the movie to a game that I don't know of. The girls look good and most of the zombie too. It definitely falls into the "so bad it's good" category, because it's so B-movie with so bad looking CG that it is hilarious to watch. Every scene with blood is CG made and look unrealistic. It's fun only when you don't expect much and want to see a movie that doesn't want to be taken seriously. Mimic (1997): I didn't really like this one. It starts good and delivers mysterious atmosphere, but the story is very unbelievable and they made the creatures look more stupid than they are most likely - to lube yourself with nasty bug excrement won't protect you from getting noticed, I highly doubt that. It's another poor Hollywood attempt if you ask me. Rec (2007): This movie is brilliant. The story starts slow and introduces you to the two main characters of whom you only see the TV reporter as the other one is the camera man recording her all the time. The movie is about an infection that turn people into blood-thirsty maniacs (like zombies). Very good! The Grey Knight (1993): Horror flick about the Civil War in which a third party turns up and kills everything that crosses their way. This group is possessed by some voodoo charm, which gives them super-human power. The movie was good, but I didn't quite understand the voodoo story, which is bad because that's why I probably didn't understand the sense of the whole movie too. Child's Play 2 (1990): Worthy sequel to the high praised original starring Chucky the killer doll. I liked this one a lot. The story works and Chucky looks very authentic in this one. However I don't quite understand why they repair the Chucky doll and then the managers says something like "Throw it away" - so why did they repair Chucky anyway? Other than that this movie rocks! Elves (1990): This movie actually lacks elves. There are some but you only occasionally get to see them, which is sad if you ask me. Dan Haggerty is fun to watch as he tries to behave like sane people do in the real world - he's way explaining everything and trying to convince people is hilarious. This movie has Nazis and Santa Claus and thus doesn't want you take it seriously. It's also a B-movie which makes it even more fun to watch.

RV, I saw Spacehunter the other night. I forgot how cool that film was, probably one of the better sci-fi efforts when I was a kid.

I think its very similar to The Relic (1997) which i much preferred. Check out Mimic 3 though, its vastly superior to the original in my opinion: http://www.dead-donkey.com/modules/shar ... ies&id=818

Quarantine (2008): The American .REC. I haven't seen .REC yet but I liked it. It has the chick from Dexter in it. Wanted (2008): Pretty good action flick. It kinda picks and chooses what it wants to take from the comic version. I'm not a huge action genre fan but it had enough twists to keep me interested.

Have been watching wardocumentaries mostly lately, but the horror itch has started again, so:
Das Komabrutale Duell - kind of lame. It's OK for me to have a story in a film which leaves (very) much space for the use of gore, but this was gore only for the sake of gore. No story, repetitive scenes in which people keep fihting, then dying, then actually not dying and then fighting again. Boring. And the gore looked brownish instead of that nice clear red colour of fake blood.
Matango - a Japanese horror from the time when Jap horrors were cute instead of over the top and gory to the last minute. This one is also cute, a bit too cute for me actually. Not much happens, and the "monster" we get to see is only visible partially and very shortly. Again, the Japs are trying to drag atomic weapons into the morale of the story. They should have left that with the Gojira movies. So so, if you don't watch this, you're not gonna miss a lot.
Never Cry Werewolf - I read on imdb that this was a blatant rip off of Fright Night. Maybe it is, but I didn't recognise much (although that might have something to do with the fact that I saw Fright Night several years and hundreds of movies ago). I must say that it wasn't that bad. From the start you know who the werewolf is, but the film is still quite entertaining, not in the least because the lead actress is really hot.

House of the Dead 2 (2005): Nice zombie horror/comedy. First zombie movie I saw in which the "plague" is not only spread by zombie bites but by a mosquito sting. Good gore, nice girls and funny. Recommended. How to make a monster (2001): Good horror/comedy (for software developers). A storm overloads the mainframe server and turns a motion capturing suite into a monster, that is killing the game developers. I think this is a so bad it's good movie.
