Xbox live/download, newsgroups?

I presume you mean rips? They're okay, but can't hold a match to the original quality-wise on a decent setup, which is what's important to me. I'll down one if I really want to see it and the blu-ray isn't locally available (e.g. [REC]).

Buying a proprietry format with all licensing going to a single movie company is not what i'd call loving film. Quite the opposite ;)

Well I don't really buy them (only have 3 and one came with the PS3), as they're still too expensive - even at internet prices. Renting is the best way to see movies these days, whatever format. Unless you're obsessed with showing off a big collection or are really rich of course.

And with Sony posting a loss of up to $2.9bn recently, they need all the money they can get! Everyone buy a PS3 now! :wacky:

I watched it.

I don't think most of the songs were that catchy; its crappy metal junk all the kiddies like these days, but no core melody. There are a couple of catchy songs interspaced though, but its kind of all over the place, at some points it was quite distracting as if it were filmed like:

Actor: Wait, the page is blank here, what am I singing?
Director: I don't know, just sing something.
Actor: errr... okay well whats the music?
Director: I don't know, its not done yet, just sing something.
Actor: errr
*actor sings*
Director: Okay that will do, we'll get it in post.
/cue post production/
Composer: Okay I finished the music for that scene we were talking about...
Director: err... what, but you've not watched the scene yet!
Composer: Yeah, I couldn't be bothered...

It was alright though, I enjoyed it... watched it at the wrong time, I was a bit tired.

Also as far as the gore goes, I don't remember too much beyond the odd face falling off.

And how cool is that?! This movie rocks so hard that it should be a musical! Wait, it is!
