Yeah man...I did this one ages ago.....Not my best work by a long shot....probably not even ivtc'd correctly but you never know...btw..it isn't qpel or gmc that is the stickler on this rip....it's the damned mp3 encode......heh...I did things WAY different back then  I would rerip it but I got a ton of stuff already on my plate as far as rips go...and I still need to get some program...ANY program to work correctly within the confines of that diseased whore Vista 64 to encode correctly

I could help you if you provided a sample of the movie. But let's wait for what video-man has got up on his sleeve.

I personaly prefer the quality of the Vipco DVD, cause the X-Rated one have too much color brightness in it... I can't explain it in real terms, but it's like too saturated of color :P And the details of the house are more clear on the Vipco picture. Just the text "Filmirage" is almost blue compare to the bright white of the Vipco picture.

But your packaging (X-Rated hard cover) is way better than the Vipco DVD, that's for sure ! It's a very cool cover you got there, and lucky to own this DVD edition !

Anyway, do you think of releasing a rip of your DVD anytime in the future... ?

I think I have that one, but the tag is removed and it doesn't hash with that one, but the file size is right.

I think this needs a new afr anyway, slap a few filters on it with added bitrate, any source of this would benefit.

Thanks guys, gonna grab all rips cuz this movie is sweet! I could VHSrip a old dupe I bought years ago!  :drunk:

The x-rated looks a bit too green. I would prefer to have a Vipco rip.

There's a thread called "Beginners guide to ripping with Gordian Knot". I think it will help you and you can always ask for additional help inside it. :beerchug:

ed2k: Ghosthouse.1988.DVDRip.(E.D.I.).avi  [751.12 Mb] [Stats]

Well, there it is ! I've made that DVDRip from my Vipco PAL R2 DVD, which is Uncut and 4:3, with the software Slysoft CloneDVDMobile.

Enjoy :beerchug:

My first properly made, yeah ! :P

Thanks buddy ! I hope the quality/codecs/bit rates are fine for all of you, because it's the best I can do with the knowledge I have in my little french head !!! (in fact, I did nothing, i've leave the software do it all by itselft, so... )

Please don't take it personally, the rip is awful. :)

The resolution is too big for the filesize (hence the 0.098 b/pf), the aspect ratio seems to be off (horizontally stretched image) and it's quite blocky.

 I'm not taking it personally, and yeah, I know, it sound awful, but try it, and you'll see it look pretty nice was playing in Windows Media Player. The picture quality is really good, seriously.

I don't know much on ripping (your b/pf, don't even know what that mean  ), but it's 90% the fault of the software i've used. The resolution was ripped like this because it was the resolution of the DVD itself, so CloneDVDmobile ripped it like it was.

elchupacabra wrote:

What the hell does that mean ??? Anyway, like i've just said, it's really a 1:1 DVD rip image kind-of. CloneDVDmobile just do it by itself, you select the DVD drive and click GO!, that's it ! But since I was happy with the picture quality, I though 'why not'... Just don't download it if you don't want, no problem with that, but since nobody wanted to rip it, here's my rip, not perfect for all of you expert-ripping-software-guru, but i've try with GK and the Guide from BadBugs, and I was unlucky... too hard and too long for me. I want fast and ready to go stuff ! :googley:

Try it anyway, and enjoy, you'll see, it's not that bad...

P.S. : Maybe the aspect ratio and resolution are like that because the DVD itself it like that ? I don't know, what do you think ? Can it be ?

Yes, maybe the DVD already has an faulty AR. But even that can be "restored".

GordianKnot isn't really difficult. If you want to create nice rips one click solutions won't satisfy. I personally would unshare the rip and create a better one. :) We can help you in the thread you mentioned.
