I've delted it now, but there's a black border down both the left and right sides of the NON twist release

They wer, I deleted the file because the twist release didn't have them although the screns you posted are 560x320 and the twist release is 576x320 so there IS definately some difference

So, twist seems a bit lighter (it may also be the way the screens were taken), and perhaps a few pixels wider (I'm looking at the blue-yellow sign or whatever it is on the left), but otherwise there's not much difference between them. And no bad cropping either.

Twists has the correct AR, the other is off.

Actually, 560 isn't divisible by 32, which you should aim to do with horizontal resolution

Ok, I'll stick with the version I've already downloaded. I don't mind the resolution not being divisible by 32 at all.

well AR is still within tolerance and all, but for reference, aim for 32 divisibility, it requires more processing power for playback otherwise, and old machines and in particularly standalones will be very picky about playing it back. Probably stuttering will be visible.

Its to do with MPEG4 decoding.

In normal Gknot its not possible to make that mistake without wishing to do it on purpose. To do it in normal gknot, you have to change the 32 value to another manually. Even then it only allows 16, 8, 4, 2 and 1.
