Got a new computer with Vista64 on it...
What codec pack shouydl i get... I can not seam to ge tthe ac3filter to work and eve nthough i have xvid running I can not open XviD files in VirtuaDub or avidMUX....

yes, you need a 64bit word to address more than 4GB of RAM. Its limitation is 16.8 million terabytes before you would need a larger word.
I have been using 64bit installations and find them more stable, faster and should be standard across the board now. The animosity in the early days is utterly dumb founded now, in fact its the opposite, you are stupid to use 32bit unless you are tied into a hugely antiquated legacy piece of software.

i too got a new comp with vista64 im having a problem with the picture it is faded on every video i play im using vlc player this never happened on my old comp any suggestions?
