Is there a quick answer to this:

Just installed the above, and getting LowID's on most servers due to the settings. What do I need to change?

Ta.

Well IMO blackICE sucks monkey balls and doesn't stop any attacks that it should do and actually says it does :matrix:

i could show you a link stating how bad blackICE is for lying to you about attacks but i can't for the love of god find the damn thing atm :(

there are much better firewalls out there than BlackICE and many are even freeware....i personally use Norton which is harsh on sys resources but is usually pretty darn inpenetrable :) then use a good AV such as AVG and you are laughing but you REALLY should think about NOT using BlackICE

a few that might be of interest
Symantec_Norton_Personal_Firewall_2003_6.0-9RETAIL.rar

there is 2004 out but i've not upadated yet

Avg.Antivirus.Pro.V7.0.143.ShareReactor.rar

damn good AV software :D

Cheers BL. I've opened port 4662 on BlackIce and I'm getting Hi ID. :D

I've used Zonealarm in the past, but found it to be rubbish too. :(

I'll see how I get on with BlackIce, then maybe try out Norton or summat else.

Cheers.

eh,
ive used blackice as well. i keep it running sometimes because i like the interface. i usually set it just to monitor connections with another firewall as the main one and see if there are conflicting info on connections. why? i have too much free time.

zone alarm i used for a year or so, if u can get it configured decent it works fine. for me, at least, it worked fine.

sygate is what i use now, and have been using for some months. its rather easy adding of ip#'s to block is why i like it, the blocklist from peerguardian site just pastes into it.

Just download the latest demo version of Sygate PRo.

Just needs a serial which I'm sure you can get easily.

If that's the issue, this site would be closed.

I'm not going to post anything.
Was just saying that's what you needed.
