There's such a wide variety to choose from.

Top ones I can think of rite now are:
Goblins's Suspiria
Oldfield's Exorsist
Goldsmith's Omen

But the one and only that literary gives me goosbumps just by thinking of the first notes is Riz Ortolani's Cannibal Holocaust theme. Oh my god that's scary stuff. Even those strange 'buuuom' sounds that occur has me shivering.. Yikes.

EDIT: What I mean are tunes that are genuinly creepy on their own, not just in the context they are put in the movie. See my examples to know what I mean....

'Mail Me' especially. 'Write Once' is also very scary. I'm thinking armageddon here.

Yep. Both are names for the same movie.

I don't know if you're being ironic or not here, but anyway I'll clarify:

What I mean are tunes that are genuinly creepy on their own, not just in the context they are put in the movie. See my examples to know what I mean....

Yeah, I know what you mean. But for me the things that creep me out the most are the things that lead you to the scare not show it to you.

My favourite 'creep' OST. I think the soundtrack really completes the movie.

(Note to self: remember to download more soundtracks in this week.)

Why the main tune of " the shining" ofcourse...

Not that it's scary....it just gives this shivering feeling, no matter how often I play it .....
I have this real low heavy tuba/alp horn play of it....
Cranking it up to 80% volume ...YEAHHH! My neighbors think they're in a concert :D
