Was asked to say what I thought...

Didn't like it very much.. Movie relies very much on acting and writing, of which none are very good. Acting intoxicated without overdoing it no easy task... Don't know if it was meant to be that way but most characters appear satyrical.

There are many much better drug movies out there, whether you watch them for a realistic insight, laughs or just to have some moving colors to gaze at whilst tripping!

I agree JD this film was really bad. A poor imitation of Requiem for a Dream I seem to remember, but I might be wrong, it was a while since I saw it and I tried to delete it from my mind!

It was highly rated though ???

so it was meant to be funny? I couldn't decide..

My fave would be 'Human Traffic' I guess, cause I recognize and identify with so much..
'Trainspotting' still is a much better movie though.
'Naked Lunch' is pretty awesome too. Couldn't read through the book.
I also liked 'Drugstore Cowboy' alot.
Laughed out loud to 'Half Baked'.
Most disturbing would be 'Requiem for a Dream' and 'Christiane F' (if anyone's seen that).
Never really liked 'Friday' or 'Dazed and Cunfused'.
I know there are many more worth mentioning, but can't remember..

Best stoned movie experience is 'eXistenZ' though. That blew my mind. Had to hold on to my chair. The multiple twists at the end were so mind boggling.

???hhrgh, that really wasn?t meant to be a confession, lads.
Trainspotting is my favorite movie with drug content, that?s delivered in a humorous way.
Christiane F. is god damn depressing. A movie to feel just sick and bad.
Naked Lunch is an ingenious Cronenberg. But I think he made a quite free interpret of the Burroughs story, thats pretty shitty. I weren?t able to complete this psychotic gay nonsense on heroin book from Burroughs too, JD.
Cronenberg - hmm, i have to think about SPIDER then. Some dudes thought of this one as bullshit. Can?t agree. Great schizo stuff.
Existenz, ooh yesss, great Cronenberg again. This movie really got a lot of good turns - exciting turns!!!- not as dumb as in shit flicks like "wild things"....

Anyway, my fave on weed is ma fave clear-headed too:
The mother of all sequels:
The incredible:
EVIL DEAD II

Does huffing gas count? :D

'Love Liza' was pretty damn depressing, but good.

Screener, but no marks.
